Zoe: Planet's coming up a mite fast. Wash: That's just cause, I'm going down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all. Mal: Well, that happens, let me know.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Nah, Maria's made the healthiest possible decision for herself. It's hard for us, because we want everything to be right for our friend, but she's doing the right thing for herself. She's made a calculated decision, and it's a good one, if difficult. It hurts to lose the stuff, but in the end, it's just the stuff. So Maria's intent to live her life now as cleanly as possible is a really good one.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Nah, Maria's made the healthiest possible decision for herself. It's hard for us, because we want everything to be right for our friend, but she's doing the right thing for herself.

Liese speaks the truth here, as she so often does. Letting go is good.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Liese is smart. But we knew that.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Lies is smart. And, you know, emotionally mature ...

The status is NOT quo.

Oh Maria. I'm so sorry. Liese is indeed wise, and for what it's worth, you have another door open here in Pasadena for an escape (so long as you don't mind the dog and four cats that come with it).

And sj, I hope you get good news soon. You know I can empathize.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Pix. I hope I am not poking at anyone's wounds when I post. If I am, please stay something, and I'll stop.

Oh no! Please, this is Bitches. We are here to support one another, and I'm here for you just like you were (and doubtless will be again) here for me.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

As evidence that everybody does not always have to mourn, here is a short story based on tales my late father told me about his relationship with his mother. Subject to errors in my memory and name changes, this is a true story. I don't know if it will make you feel any better. It is quite grimly funny and your outlaws remind me of Dora.
