I get confused. I remember everything. I remember too much, and... some of it's made up, and... some of it can't be quantified, and... there's secrets.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Kids are gone and this time I got paid (often K-Bug gets paid by the dojo). We all survived being house bound and my living room doesn't look like a disaster area.

Next up, in 90 minutes, is a hair cut. This is me second appt with this stylist. I'm really hoping I have found someone to stick with.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I listened to a couple of dharma talks and feel much calmer, if not physically better. Hallelu.

Now watching Doctor Who at Tom and Nora's.

Yay for haircuts, Suzi! I am in sore need.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And there was a monster coming, so we needed to grab our "gunks" and shoot it. However, due to my tiny T-rex arms, I had great trouble reaching my shirt pocket, so Ryan obligingly moved the pocket over for me.

What a fun day.

Aidan: maaaaaa I'm a goat! I can make milk and cheese!
Me: You're a boy. You can't make either.
Kara: Let him dream, Mommy!

Oh, Buffista kids, you make me smile so often.

Gareth brings most of his woes on himself, and this one isn't exactly an exception; nonetheless, none of that relates directly to his job performance, past or future. It's fairly rough to miss out on a promising job because of it.

And it's one of those things that it's very hard to crawl out of once you've made even the first mistake so often. Very rough to miss an opportunity. Especially one that might help you really turn your life into a better direction.

Thrive to spite them

Steph, if you're around here's the latest update on how Sandy will effect Vermont.

Looks like lots and lots of high winds in most places. And there are flood watches out right now [link] but it's more the area where Will lives.

Second cut, much like the first. I think I am in love with my stylist. Will need to play with it fresh from the shower to be sure.

Frank, I am so glad that your mother had the kind of end she wanted and was ready for it. I am also sorry for your loss.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Were there warnings for that? It seems that could disturb a fair slice of people.
I knew about it, as I'd looked it up online beforehand. I don't recall how well it was signposted at the venue, but it was certainly loud enough to scare the age-challenged.

Huh. Is that a normal level of divulging in Australia? I know in the US they generally stick to i"ta ! worked here as a Technical Analyst between 1993 and 2002" and not that much more to steer clear of getting hauled up over "claims".
I don't think it is, and given that it wasn't relevant to Gareth's past performance (he did quite well in the job), it feels like the guy's opening himself up to some potential liability.

His kids are invited to something he's not? How's that going to work out? Is their mother invited? Camouflaged as a play date?

He doesn't live with them, so he simply doesn't know about it. The chidren's mother isn't keen on seeing Gareth right now, but the reason he's not invited is because he's likely to pester our dad about varioius grievances, and D doesn't need the aggravation.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The chidren's mother isn't keen on seeing Gareth right now

Ah, okay--makes total sense. Awkward to dance around, maybe, but probably very worth the investment in conversational gymnastics.

it feels like the guy's opening himself up to some potential liability.

Is your brother the kind of guy that would open that can of worms?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I need some bitch advice. I broke down and got a Spanx-type gizmo. It's basically like a highwaisted panty. The question is, do I wear it over or under the fishnet tights I am wearing tomorrow? I have no idea, which makes me the worst girl ever.
