Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Does K-Bug help unpack boxes?

I need to get off my duff and do it. I am just so done and underwater with work I don't know how I'm going to do all this unpacking.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I hear you, le nubian. Does Beau like unpacking?

We have done like 85% of our unpacking but are stalled on the last bit because we DON'T FREAKING KNOW YET IF M IS GOING TO BE OFFERED A JOB IN GERMANY. And it is driving me up a wall. Aaaaaaahhhhhhh.

He likes it better than I do, but I'm a hassle because part of my problem is that I am not sure where anything should go, so I am immobile.

sits on bench, tired, with le n! It doesn't help any that my closet isn't installed, so clothes and stuff one hides in a closet are still in packed mode. I have about 2/3rd of books, and 3/4 of CD's unpacked. But not properly sorted. And these past 2 weeks at work have all but kicked my butt. Wiped, I tell ya. Wiped I am.

Glam, glad to hear the good news! And no, not pity party. Lamenting, sure. And that's what friends are for, right?

Smonster, glad to hear some meds are finally working! Woot!

Now, gotta check facebook, see if I can find the cutie pics out of Michigan. I still say, that lil gal is a California Girl. She was born here, right? We lay claim to her.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh, she never lets us forget it. Whenever we play "If we win the lottery" her first thing is always, "I want to go back to California and live there."

Aaaarggh. Just when I thought the day might be getting better.

So, we have this annual fund raiser thingy here at school. And every year they record some voice overs. This year, they scheduled them last minute (the event is tomorrow, and Wednesday they said we have to record them Thursday) and I was already booked. So after much begging and pleading, I got one of the students to cover the simple recording. But Faculty has it in their head (and said at the area meeting) that they have to be paid for the less than an hour of work that is for a fund raiser for the whole school of the arts. I asked if there was budget left, and was told no. So I bribed with the Starbucks gift card I won at the staff retreat. Well, I log on line to see just how much is loaded on the thing. $5. Ugg. That's not enough. So I tried to put $20 more on it, so it's $25, a nice amount to say thank you. Well son of a bitch, if Starbucks didn't flash at the last second that this will re-occur every time the card dips below $10. Um. NO! I just wanted to boost the card, not have a continous charge. I've been on hold for over TWENTY minutes now. Uggg. So frustrating. I really need a weekend.

(update as typing: after 27 minutes of waiting, finally talking to someone. She says "oh really, it shouldn't auto reload unless you register the card" and then puts me on hold again to check with her supervisor. Ugg. I think I just entered the first gate of hell).

27 minutes of waiting? Good lord. I'm sorry trying to do a good deed is such a freakin' hassle, omnis! That's stupid.

Anyone know anything about land use? I just got a notice that they're planning to tear down the house behind me and put up two houses AND three townhouses AND six parking spots. Not sure how they're going to fit all that, at all. Really not thrilled, in any way shape or form, but especially that I apparently have until Nov 7th to comment on the plan by mail, because there won't be a meeting, and the only way to SEE the plan I'm supposed to comment on is to go to the office in person, during their M-F business hours.
