Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I am so sorry, askye. Take good care of yourself, sweetheart.

Thrive to spite them

I called Mom to talk to her again and she and Evander were outside and I got to talk Evander. She told him the other day that Dean was sick and Evander said "I will help take care of him."

Then she told him today that Dean died and Evander said he was sad and that "I don't him to die."

He was willing to talk to me on the phone (sometimes he's too busy playing) and he asked me "Did Dean die?" and I said yes. And he asked "are you sad." I told him I was . He asked if Penny died, I said no she was okay and playing in front of me.

Then he sang me 3 or 4 songs he's learned in preschool.

He was outside barefoot and doing movements to go with the songs and stepped on an acorn which cut the conversation short because he was upset and needed soothing. So I talked to Mom for awhile and then before I hung up Evander said "Bye I love you. I am giving you kisses and waving."

His new thing when someone leaves is to say I love you , give them a kiss, then stand outside and wave goodbye. Unless it's too chilly then he's okay standing in the window. I got the phone version.

I have to admit I was glad we weren't on Skype because I was crying the whole time I was listening to his sweet voice singing to make me feel better.

Little kid love is nearly as good as piles of kittens and puppies.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh, askye. He's so full of love. What a wonderful counterpoint to the awfulness of the day. I'm glad you have him and he has you. I hope you are feeling the love from your mom, Evander, Will, and all of us.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Askye, that's wonderful of Evander.

You are a good kitty owner, and you just got the luck of the draw with two kitties who had pre-existing conditions that you had no way of knowing about. You gave them good, happy lives, and loved them, and that's what matters. I'm glad you have support with you.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

What Nora said and what Plei said.

RI is here. I made chicken and rice and tried not to whimper at her caprese salad. We just watched Fear, Itself and now we're watching Hush.

Since she was coming over, I did the dishes and made my bed and took out the trash. So that's good.

The fashions in Hush are cracking me up. Zig zag parts, plastic chokers, backless sweaters.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

What a great kid, askye.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

askye, your nephew sounds like a sweetie pie. It's amazing how much better kids can make you feel. My nephew used to be like that when he was a little boy. I'd have a bad day and go visit him, and he would come running to the door with his arms open so happy to see me and it just meant the world to me.

Thrive to spite them

He's such a sweet kid. I'm hoping I can Skype with him this weekend. We keep missing times either he's busy or cranky or I'm not at home.

I'm going to see if I can check out a Mo Willems book (I don't think he's read any of them) so I can read to him on Skype.
