I feel almost normal today, but I'm still taking it easy with tea and yogurt and saltines for brunch. Fingers crossed the Pearls are kicking in. I almost don't recognize my face in the mirror, I look weird to myself. And my bras are a little big. And, most annoyingly, my jeggings are loose. I know, a lot of people think they're an abomination before the lord and Tim Gunn, but they are comfy and fit me well and my butts looks cute in them. Or did.

I wish it were a possibility for you to move. Do you have a multi-year lease that's keeping you there?

My lease just goes until May, but moving is a huge pain physically for me, and hiring people to do all the packing would be pretty expensive. If I had to move, I could, but I'd rather find a way to deal with the problems here.

WHAT. So she's fine giving you shit and blaming you, but she won't do what she's supposed to do, AS A LANDLORD, which is call a damn exterminator?

I've mentioned an exterminator to her a few times. She thinks that what she's done -- set up the traps, clean up the kitchen, and she and the handyman looked around the kitchen for where the mice were coming in from, but couldn't find any holes -- was enough.

Wait, what? That's where I work! Must keep an eye out for the critters. Eep.

Oh yeah! But I wouldn't worry too much if I were you, o_a. I lived there for many years and the mice infestation was just the one year, and the campus cracked down on it pretty fast.

I tossed Evander's gift because of possible glass slivers. I thought I got them all but I'd hate to give him something that might hurt him.

For those of us who enjoy ASH singing, my tivo tells me that there is something called "Repo! The Genetic Opera" starring ASH on Tuesday the 23rd at 10:15 on IFC. Description is "A worldwide epidemic allows a biotech company to manage an organ-financing program that allows it to foreclose on and harvest human body parts." It has 1 1/2 stars, so I suspect that it will be terrible, but maybe in a good way?

It's a "rock opera" combined with a sci-fi slasher movie. It's a jumbled hot mess, but I find it fun. And ASH obviously had a good time chewing on the scenery.

I'm supposed to be at a friend's birthday/ pumpkin party. I don't know if it will replenish my spoons or deplete them totally, but she just texted to ask if I'm coming so... Here goes. Eff this tummy thing for spoiling Halloween for me.
