Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We are short on time. Incorporating both would mean two on the same subtopic and giving them about ten minutes each. And unfortunately I can't find a phone for my first choice. All I have for her is an email. I'm now wishing I'd made my 2nd choice my first. He is not quite as knowledgeable as my first but I have a phone number for him and not for her. I could have gotten a yes or no quickly from him.

Thanks. That is a good suggestion. If I put in a deadline, then I can contact my 2nd choice when it is past. And if work on phrasing it tactfully the deadline won't make her more likely to say "no".

One person on my panel canceled because she is in the hospital. After I replaced her, a second person on the panel canceled because his father has been diagnosed with cancer, and he has to go in and translate between his father (who speaks no English) and the doctor (who speaks no Arabic). I'm starting to wonder if being on my panel is bad luck. At any rate I hope both the first person, and the 2nd person's father end up being OK

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My recycling is out at the curb. Three cans, one bottle.

Also, I just found some mouse droppings inside my silverware drawer. I have no idea how they got there, since I haven't seen any anywhere else around there, but now I'm all "ick ick ick" and running all my silverware through the dishwasher.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I called my father's GF to wish her happy birthday. She put dad on the line. I said I didn't want to talk politics. He started talking politics. After him saying in several different ways the info I was saying is flat wrong, and he wasn't going to listen to it because he hates Obama, and then continued to spew the misinformation that Fox/Romney/Koch/Rove spew. So, I hung up on him in mid sentence. I said 3 or 4 times, I don't want to talk politics if we can not agree on the facts. That there is no point in it. And he kept going. I feel bad, like I am being disrespectful of my elders and all. But. Fuck that. I had a hard day. I'm not fighting on the phone. Life is too short, and not worth the blood pressure. ugg. How am I a product of this family?!?!

I should go to bed. TCG went to bed hours ago, but I'm not sure if I'm tired enough to sleep. I don't want to toss and turn and keep him up when he's already not feeling well.
