Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
It's a limited thing in Sept, Oct, and Nov. I don't know why I didn't think to tell you sooner. So you may want to stock up. On Facebook the company said you can ask a store to order more for you.
According to the website it's available in a keg. [link]
I've just discovered how much I like hard ciders. I don't like beer but hard cider is good so I've been trying to find regional stuff. I had a draft at lunch today when we stopped in Bangor.
I know hard cider isn't the same as beer, but it's gluten free. I saw that Michelob makes a hard cider, I was wondering if they were trying to cash in on the gluten free market.
I like ciders a lot. I just also like beer. Frankly, there's not much alcohol I don't like.
Which is why I'm glad I live with a non-drinker. It keeps my consumption WAY down. I am a total lightweight.
I'm a lightweight, I didn't finish the whole glass at lunch and I ended up taking a nap. I keep trying to see if I like beer because there are so many choices of microbrews up here, but I just don't like it.
I did try the Shipyard Pumpkin because Will had a sample and it was good and the least beer tasting of beer I had. But I think I was fine with a sip.
I'm only supposed to drink alcoholic stuff occasionally because of my current possibly depressive episode and the medicine. So I try to limit it to lunch (so it won't be too close to medicine).
I did pretty well anxiety wise this trip. There was one place I wanted to go but there were too many people so we passed it by and if we had to wait in the construction line much longer I was going to get out of the car and walk around.
Hil, sorry for the PITA and expense, glad it wasn't anything expensive to fix.
Dude, I also want to check out the pumpkin cider. I am not a fan of beer either, but I like ider okay and I love pear cider. Pumpkin sounds like it would be nice and full-bodied.
OMG, so tired. But happy to report that for the first time in nearly two weeks, I did not have to chew ginger today. I had a little bit of nausea and cramping during the day, but less. I even risked a small glass of white wine tonight!
eta Hi Laura!!
Not a beer person but love cider, and anything pumpkin. I think I shall enlist my BIL to make some pumpkin wine. He makes wine from about everything.
Hugs to all! I'll be back, but way past my bedtime now. Sweet dream wishes.
Steph, if you can't find it, it lists 5 places in my town, so I'll seewhat I can do
Thanks askye, I am so going to hunt down that pumpkin cider. That sounds amazing, but I love cider. Looks like a trip to BevMo is in order.
Pumpkin cider? What now?
I'm not here. But that sounds unbelievable.
It was HOA meeting tonight. Guess who was nominated and accepted the board position of Treasurer?
:: thumbs into shoulders ::
THIS GUY!!!
Yeah, I looked in the mirror and can't see it, but I swear I have "SUCKER" stenciled on my forehead.
It's an interim position, through March. We shall see how much I hate/love doing it.
The cool thing about being on the board, is you learn some rather interesting facts of what some home owners are pulling. The uncool thing, I can't talk about things we discuss in executive meeting.
Pumpkin cider? What now?
Roomie and I bought some a few weeks ago--I think by Ace? Or Spire? One of the two. It's pretty yum. We have a sixpack in the garage, but currently have some apple ginger cider we bought in the fridge--I opened the first one tonight, it was just OK.
