The big one is Halloween Horror Nights for Universal Studios. This year I'm also doing the sound design for Wicked Lit, which is a series of site specific plays at the Mountain View Mausoleum in Alta Dena.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Ah! You are doing Halloween Horror Nights. How long is it to get through a house? A guy on another board is (dunno why) trying to work out if it will trigger his PTSD (especially the Walking Dead), and was looking for more info on it.
Depending upon the pace of the crowd on a given night the actual haunted house can take 10-20 minutes to get through.
Hil,
no student should scream at you for any reason. I think these fools need to be reprimanded or worse.
I have NO tolerance for academic incivility. NONE.
Thanks, ND. I'll pass that on.
I so, so wish I could go to Halloween Horror Nights this year! And Wicked Lit. Grrr, dumb work deadlines.
You would LOVE Wicked Lit.
Gravity will take you down.
Heh.
So, tomorrow's night free. Who wants to hang out with me in Jerusalem?
Hey, ND--a couple other questions--he's going to the Florida one--are they both similar? He's worried he'll have an episode and not be able to get out. And he's worried about being touched as part of the show. Is there a safe word, in Cali, at least? And touching?
Not ND, but I'm pretty sure the Halloween Horror Nights mazes don't involve being touched by the scare actors. That's the sort of thing that only happens in the more "extreme" haunted house places, and the're usually pretty up-front about warning patrons about possible touching.
... which reminds me, I should see if there's been any word on this year's Blackout NYC scare attraction. No way would I ever go through it, but it's fascinating to read about.
