You are not being selfish. You love her and wanting more time with her is understandable. I hope she passes as peacefully as possible. And that knowing that she is ready offers some small comfort to you.

I'm glad your mom likes her oncologist, Scrappy. It makes a huge difference when you feel like they see (and will treat) you as a person. I'm sorry that the news isn't better.
