How do you do over easy? I can't figure that one out.
Over easy is one flip, right? Timing and a well-greased skillet.

No worries, Jilli--I have a ton of stuff I want to get done this weekend...but I woke up this morning with a headache and went back to sleep until almost noon. So we'll see how much gets done. :)
Ugh, my sympathies on the headache. I am hoping this sinus/muscle tension headache goes away before I go to the photo shoot this evening. I'm getting my portrait taken with an antique tintype camera!
And now, I should put the "fun" laptop down and get back to dayjob work. Bah.
Count Chocula: but before I do that, a PSA for other Aromaleigh users! There's a 20% off site-wide coupon! "Oktober20".
Jilli,
I have a question for you if you get the time to answer it at some point in the future:
when you go for photo shoots such as these (or others you have done), how much more preparation does it take you in terms of time to do them versus when you dress for work?
Part of me thinks that you are already so well put together for the daily work photos that it can't take you much more in prep, but I know photo shoots are special things too.
Yup, Steph has it right.
(As I wait for the work laptop to finish updating): le nubian, it takes me maybe 30 - 40 minutes more of prep time for a photo shoot than getting ready for work. Mostly because I'm being extra careful with applying my makeup, and photo shoot wardrobes are often a bit more involved than everyday clothes (corsetry, bustles, and so on).
Unless it's a photo shoot for a specific theme: getting ready for vampire or zombie photo shoots takes a lot longer, because of extra makeup to make me look (more) undead, and because Pete is very meticulous about applying my blood spatter just so.
I'm really excited about this tintype portrait shoot. If it works, I will have an actual tintype portrait to keep.
Ugh, I went to bed last night around 11 pm and am just getting out of bed for the first time at 4pm! I did get up when my friend and landlady knocked, about removing my ac. She took one look at me and told me to go back to sleep. Heat's been turned on and she'll come back for the ac.
I am now waiting for the headache I got from sleeping so long to abate to decide if I can pull myself together enough to go grocery shopping.
Why doesn't my town have any deliver grocery services?
I have fantasies that one day I'll have the kind of life where people want me to do photo shoots, but turns out NSM in real life.
I kinda hate my microwave egg poacher and the kids love poached eggs. I should definitely invest in one of those egg poacher things.
Jilli,
awesome!
and the mental image of blood spatter application has me in giggles.
I drove down to the lake today, because it's Fall and October and I do things out of my routine at this time of year.
So silent. The occasional bird. The faint putt-putt of a boat headed to the launch ramp, the truck crunching over the gravel to get to the boat. It felt like actual pressure, the absence of sound.
Unfortunately it was a hazy day. I'll have to go back down there after a storm, when the air has been cleaned out.
