Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I went out to the high school homecoming game and hung out with some folks from elementary, middle, and high school. It's our 20th reunion weekend. The big banquet is tonight and I didn't register, but then got a BUNCH of crap from a bunch of my friends and so it seems that if I can find a babysitter for tonight, Joe and I are gonna go.

Peer pressure. Nice to know it's still alive and well.

Gotta go find something to wear.

Compassionately intolerant

bonny - Forgive the faulty memory, but is that the only time we've hung out f2f? B/c if so, damn. We so need to remedy that.

Doesn't it seem weird to say that is true? It honestly does not seem possible that I've only seen your face once. Funny how friendship can be so many things.

And, yes, we SO need to remedy that. thinking, thinking

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good job, Ryan! I hope Matilda musters as much calm as she has her first soccer game this morning and she melted down in tears at the prospect last night.

smonster, that picture on FB of you holding India was meltingingly sweet.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Good job, Ryan! I hope Matilda musters as much calm as she has her first soccer game this morning and she melted down in tears at the prospect last night.

Aw, events are so big and emotional at that age. From my experience, she'll do fine if she can spend the entire game sitting in Daddy's lap.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I'd like to note that DJ's DH is the consummate sneaky bartender. He kept refilling everyone's wine glass without them noticing, and he was so grateful I got India to sleep that he brought me a flask of some delicious rye whiskey to sip. Srsly adorbs.
I can see that. He's the nicest guy in Dallas. DJ picked a winner, that's for sure.

BT, love the Ryan stories. So adorable!

After this long week of work, have strong case of "don't wanna's" to anything. Alas, really need to start doing some unpacking, now that I can!!! Not looking forward to the heat today is supposed to bring.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I had to put on CLOTHES and stuff.

That shouldn't be a problem tonight.

bt, haircuts used to always involve sitting on mommy's or daddy's lap. It definitely helps them feel secure.

I am grading today while DH takes the kids to the dentist for a cleaning. Yay, DH!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I'm babysitting the dojo kids. CJ is off on a belt test and K-Bug is at work. The kids are old enough now (4 and almost 2) that I can actually do stuff while they are here. Exciting things like clean up the kitchen. If I had chocolate chips, I'd make cookies with them. The store is just a bit too far for the little on to walk or for me to carry her.

She did fine and spent no time in my lap.

She actually stopped four shots on goal as the goalie, charging the ball aggressively. Which was markedly better than two of our goalies who stood passively in the center of the net and watched the ball shoot past them.

Here is the one great virtue about little kids soccer I can report over little kids baseball: much shorter. We showed up ten minutes before game time, game was an hour and we were gone ten minutes after.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Matilda!

I'm taking a short break from a massive clean up effort. We're having friends over to watch Doctor Who tonight after a belated dinner out for TCG's birthday. So, a clean up was necessary.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

When she was melting down and crying about being afraid to play the game yesterday I was busy composing a Louis CK reply in my mind:

"Awww, honey, nobody gives a shit about pee wee soccer. You've actually already accomplished far more athletically when you jumped rope 117 times in a row than you will tomorrow. As long as you don't stand in the middle of the field crying your eyes out, your day will be judged a success."
