For the first time in months I'm wearing top to toe black. It's finally cooled off enough. It's very soothing to be all in black again.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
So I have a picture of the scarf I finished - [link] and here it is doubled [link]
and then here are pictures of my hair without product. I rinsed it out and then dried it to show Will [link] who then proceeded to take pictures at other angles [link] [link]
He and Emeline used it all when they made All the Cookies.
In their defense, the cookies were awesome. Albeit as much as art as actual baked goods.
Mound of chocolate chip...cookie chunks.
frowny-face iced cookie
No, really, that's food coloring, not blood.
Em was very worried that I would get mad about the icing spill on the counter.
As I told Joe, shaving cream is great for removing food coloring (specifically from skin,, but possibly elsewhere?)
While I was napping, the ENT office called and left a message, saying that they'll reschedule my appointment. (Of course, right now, my ears are doing fine, but I can tell the doctor about the symptoms that I was having before.)
Excellent post, Nora. It is super easy to focus on the crappy things, it's true.
Aims, I hope your dinner was delish.
Uh, I feel like there was more. askye, definitely try a new stylist. That whole process is so stressful. I'm still looking for a styist here. Also... pretty scarf!
Well everyone at the knitting club liked it.
I think next time I'm going to just go down to Burlington and try there.
Thanks about the scarf. I'm hoping to get matching fingerless gloves done before I go to Maine.
Made dinner, ate it, did Almost All The Dishes, booked a side job for Friday, cleaned the kitchen and bathroom sinks, cleaned the top of the stove, and FINALLY folded the last of my clean laundry from two weeks ago. I also organized my bathroom shelves a bit because I couldn't find the lotion I wanted (still can't).
Man, my expectations are so low with guys. D texted me today saying he hoped I was having a good day and that he was looking forward to seeing me tomorrow. Just that made me squee out loud, amusing my coworker to no end.
I finally caught up with my former coworkers, we had dinner last night. Oh, man. We shared a pitcher of margaritas three ways and just dished and debriefed and laughed. I just feel so validated about all the crazy shit from that job, and it is really good to connect with them outside of that context. Yayes.
My god, I killed Bitches by being in a good mood. I'M SO SORRY.
