It's because you didn't have a strong father figure isn't it?

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yeah, my thoughts are with you all dealing with your mortal parents.

Wishing strength to Scrappy, Cass and Frank and peace and acceptance.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Frank, I think being at peace is the best we can ask for knowing we're at the end of our lives. And am so glad that she's lucid so you can say your goodbyes and anything else. I hope she remains comfortable.

People playing "telephone" just led to me having to call my Stepmom to soothe both of our hurt feelings. The game where someone overheard a snip of a conversation I was part of and repeated it with or without realizing how it'd sound and without any context. So she was hurt. She texted me and I was hurt. After one more text not helping, I just called her and I think we sorted it out. I hope. Of course even false hurts don't miraculously go away when you figure out they were just a series of misunderstood things. Yay.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Frank}}} I'm sorry about your mom. Tons of ~ma to her and you.

I brought the last of my I will never be that size again clothes to consignment stores. The first store took everything but three items and made a point of saying she didn't take things with skulls on them. The second store took my adorable black skirt with pink skulls and a pretty leather trimmed blouse but wouldn't take my leather jacket because it is from a store that has been out of business for a while. So 19 items will hopefully be making me some money for holiday shopping.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I've been reading along, mostly on my phone, and sending lots of ~ma to Cass and Frank and Scrappy and anyone else who needs it. Oh, my Bitches, I hate that life is so hard sometimes.

Had a great birthday weekend, things with D continue to go well, work today was a pisser but what are you gonna do? The clients from hell had the gall to tell my boss, "We like you, but your people are rude and are going to lose you jobs." WTFF, I am, like, pathologically polite. None of us are anything even approaching rude. I wish I could be a fly on the wall during their next interaction with contractors who aren't us. The only thing I can think is that maybe, maybe they overheard E and I cussing or something? I cannot wait to be done with them, and if my boss takes another job there I don't know what I'll do.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My throat is killing me. It was a little scrape-y yesterday, but it got bad enough to wake me up during the night. I don't have the strep fever, so I don't think it's that, but I called off my first class just in case.

Ugh.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am sorry if I gave you the plague!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Frank, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. She sounds like she is facing everything with amazing grace. I'm so glad that she is able to say her goodbyes, and that you will be able to say your goodbyes to her.

Aims, feel better.

I'm trying to guilt the cable company to fit me in for an appointment today. So far, no luck.
