Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Ginger, that is terrible.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'll be around a little more, Strixy - saw everyone's pretty faces on the book of the face and got nostalgic.

Its so fucking abrupt, Ginger. Its fucking surreal when that happens.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

(I changed my username, Truds; you know who I am. I...borrowed your bed in NYC a few years back. After sushi. And tequila. LOTS of tequila...)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Strix, promotion~ma for your DH.

I have my morning cuppa and the DVR actually let me watch the Daily Show this morning. So, so far today is better than yesterday at this time.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm so sorry, Ginger. That's awful.

Something of a milestone day today - the first time I've ever had to call in sick, not because I was sick but because Ryan was. He felt fine, he just had a rash of pink blotches that was diagnosed as a viral rash. It was deemed contagious, so no childcare for him, and Biyi had an all-day court assignment.

I feel bad about missing work, but spending the day with Ryan is heaps more fun. We went out to the park (beautiful springtime weather today), looked at dinosaur and Richard Scarry books, and we even had our first lesson in addition. (Ryan asked me to count his fingers, saying that he was holding up five fingers on one hand and three on the other. Led to an explanation that 5+3=8, with some additional finger work to follow up.)

Biyi was very appreciative of her hubby when she came home, which was nice; less nice that it was prompted by her interpreting for the Family Law court all day. Involved a 50+ year old misogynist who decided to get himself a wife from China (so let's add offensive, racist attitudes about submissive Asian women). The marriage ended in domestic violence. They had a five month old son at the time.

Pretty sure that of the two of us, I had the better day.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Unless the end of her story involved a nail gun and a vacant building, yes.
