Kate, what's going on with your bedroom ceiling??

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
The sellers fixed it! They finished it on Friday, and paid for the repairs themselves. Such a relief. There's still some things we need to do before it's all ready, but hopefully nothing else too expensive. I had someone come in to test the air quality today, so we'll get the test results tomorrow or Wednesday, and then we need to finish painting, but that can happen after we move in if it has to. We've got movers coming on Friday, and have gotten a pretty good start on packing. Guess it's really happening!
Yay, Kate! That's great news. Tons of moving~ma headed your way.
Oh, what a relief!
Moving~ma, Kate! And I'd love to come visit, but I'm afraid it's not likely to be in the cards for a while.
Bacterial infection is the verdict. Steroid shot in ass, ABs, need to clean the mold out of my bedroom A/C, and probably get a dehumidifier. To console myself I am buying Fergie star glitter nail polish as I pick up my script.
Glad you got a diagnosis, smonster.
Good news on the ceiling Kate! But seriously, finish the painting before you move in (she says, glancing sheepishly at all the closet doors which were not hung when she was painting her house, four years ago, but were primed white, so she said, oh well, we'll finish them after we move in). Seriously. All the closet and pocket doors. The shame.
I'm pretty sure a Buffista told me this at the time, but I woefully did not listen to us.
I am a leeetle jealous that Kate has her ceiling fixed (happy for you, don't misunderstand), but jealous none the less. The workers came by to resume work on the porch. Dunno how long it will take. Dunno how long before they start to work on the hole in the bedroom floor (ya know, the thing that got it all rolling, and the thing holding up the rest of my flooring going in, and new closet installation). ::sigh:: But yes, paint before you move stuff in. Much easier!
PachycephalosaurusAt first glance, I saw that as "Paycheckasaurus" and thought it was some new Disney toy that cost a lot.
The Ryan stories are adorable!
OK, back to work. Blargh.
Damn, dehumidifiers are expensive. I'm looking at from $150 - $200, minimum. That was *so* NOT on my birthday list. I'm trying to clean out my A/C unit with dilute bleach. Not sure how effective it's going to be. I'm worried that I will have to replace it, and I'll have to pay for it b/c it's a new unit and I didn't clean out the pet hair (like, ever) so I think it pulled humid air in from the outside or something.
I was always a Brontosaurus girl. Alas. And they were taken away, probably by the same bastards who tanked Pluto.
Of course, Ray Toro lost the Torosaurus, so at least I'm in good company.
Trudes!
