Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

it's like wearing a bra for a phone interview, like Erin said.

Which I totally did! And I was even dressed in more than a T-shirt. Go, me.

Glad the saying it out loud made a difference, smonster, and I hope things continue on an upward trend. Sorry about StW. That's no fun.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I have found that I can't really start working until I change out of my gown, although my spiffy "work" uniform is sweat pants and an old t-shirt.

AND at getting pissy and spending when I can't.

Good gravy, yes. I'm better about it lately, but, yeah.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I certainly don't put on shoes every day, and I have a "working at home" uniform of leggings, bloomers, and t-shirts, so I don't spend all day in pjs. But I need to be better about putting on a little bit of makeup each day, because I know the act of putting on eyeliner makes me clearer-headed.

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, so I went over and joined Fly Lady. I had heard of it from a friend a while ago and just didn't get it. So I'm going to try it and see. (I really need something to help me build a good chores routine.)

Thrive to spite them

I need some structure and help getting my house organized and then keep it at a decent level. I'm tired of wasting so much time and energy thinking about how it's not acceptable and I hate it and blah blah blah.

I do have clothes that are some times lounge clothes and sometimes pjs. I think I'm going to try and make a clear distinction between which are which so I do feel like I'm getting dressed. Even if it is just changing into yoga pants and a sweatshirt.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The dog really helps with the whole putting on clothes thing. Well, not literally.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm definitely not at the point where I'm following FlyLady's schedule for newbies (I don't think I am, at least; I read through it once and then just thought about what my goals are and what I can handle).

I just started with the dang washing the dishes every night thing (although I still don't do them *every* night -- probably 5 or 6 nights a week, though), and I stuck with that for a couple weeks. Then I started adding a quick wipedown of the bathroom mirror/sink/toilet every 2-3 days, depending on how it looks. I've been doing that for about 10 days.

And just this week I started making the bed before I leave for work. Maybe next week I'll add something else in.

I don't do the daily zone chore dealies yet, although I read the e-mails and think about it.

I already was doing some stuff, like getting my clothes ready the night before, so I don't really "count" that as part of a routine, although I guess I could. But it's not something new that I started as a result of FlyLady.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Deena, it's nice to see you posting again.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Thanks, P-Cow! I hope to continue, barring nap days. I'm tired, but not sleepy, and in surprisingly little pain tonight, so I'm kinda liking this saying hello, thingy. Of course, 5 minutes from now I'll get up to do something, forget, and go to bed, but for now I'm all woohoo for clarity!
