Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Trust my rage

If it were me, I would worry the entire time and thus, not have fun. But I don't think you necessarily *should* feel that way.

The status is NOT quo.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, meara!

------

I'm having a really rough day. This morning, my co-worker's dog--a feisty Boston Terrier named Aspen--escaped from her classroom, ran out of the school, and got hit and killed by a car. Today is the first day I've brought Kaylee with me. She and Aspen were best friends. I'm shaken up, heartbroken for co-worker, and scared about the ramifications for being able to bring dogs on campus.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh no Pix, how awful!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh no, Pix! That's horrible. I'm so sorry.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Happy birthday, meara!

I like to see people as, well, people. Not as possibilities.

That's a very wise thing to do.

(I'm worried about being "caught" and seen by someone, even though the chances of that are relatively slim)

I think it depends on the size of the place you live. I am becoming resigned to the fact that if I leave my house, someone will notice. Probably won't care. But I've run into people, seen others and have been told I was seen in others. Oddities of a small town.

While I think it's perfectly valid that you are not able to go into work and be effective but could still go to a fair, it's because I know much more about the specifics.

What a sad thing, Pix. How tragic for her owner.

I'd wonder about ramifications as well. Unless you have to sign massive disclosures, I can see where the policy might change. With allergies, phobias, the possibilities of injuries and lawsuits, I am always surprised when some locations allow dogs.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, no, Pix, that's awful! Poor doggy, poor human.

Separately:

Puts my current dog trauma into perspective. Or rather, my soon to be traumatized dog, who has PERSONAL SPACE issues. And needs to be bathed every other day for the next two weeks because of a skin reaction.
