I have had Gatorade and sweet tea and water and sleep, but no banana. And I, uh, lost most of the Gatorade. I'm okay physically, just kind of dumb. It'll pass.

I have friends that swear by PediaLyte. Which actually makes sense, as it's essentially Gatorade on mega steroids, electrolytes-wise. I still haven't tried it - haven't had a day bad enough to be worth the price, as it's not cheap.

Jumping ahead over 1000 posts to give ~ma to Bartleby and Bonny and to ask a favor from any tumblr users.... my 15 year old sister continues the downward spiral. Her 18 year old (college) boyfriend was arrested, jailed, and sentenced to 2 misdemeanor charges related to getting caught in the act with her (her mom downgraded the felony charges to misdemeanors for various and sundry reasons). Seems now that she has once again started contacting him, this time via tumblr. There are also issues of possible self-harm and other plans for triggery ick. I know her username is alightinthedark. (and i *think* his is luckatitsfinest - i know, gross given the circumstances) but i've never used tumblr so i don't know if i'm searching wrong, cuz right now i'm coming across some old references but nothing current....guessing she was smart enough to lock down the account now that she knows that her actions are getting him into legal trouble.

Mostly i'm looking here for any indication or plans about running away and/or suicide pacts.

(and FTR I would normally be very against invading her privacy...but nothing on the internet is private as she's clearly coming to understand and it's starting to look like her safety is actually at risk.) TIA

Hey guys, said I would be back, but wasn't. Sorry. I got very tired. We went to the thrift store on Wednesday (completely wrecked me, but worth it) to get stuff for the kids' costumes. Kara is going as a princess of shadows, in a lovely little cocktail dress in black velvet, spiders, and a tiara, with extreeemely pointy (Jilli would approve!) "high" heeled shoes covered in square crystals, and Aidan is going as young Zelda, princess of Hyrule. Greg says if he asks for some basic black pumps for Christmas, we'll get him singing lessons.

I have to go nap, now. When the kids get home it will be halloween central around here. I have to get them all excited about their costumes early since I forgot to buy them a pumpkin to carve.

eta: oh, Erin, so sorry. I wish I knew Tumblr. Fred Pete, glad Hubs is home.

Thanks for the thoughts. Hubs has a couple of doctor appointments today, and we go from there. Disability retirement is an option, and I suspect the most likely one.

Deena, right now, it's more important that you take care of yourself.

I, too, have called in sick today. Slept a couple extra hours, now up with tea. Somehow this is way less exciting when (a) I wouldn't have had to go to an office anyway and (b) I still have to get all the same work done, now just in less time.
