All right, no one's killing folk today, on account of our very tight schedule.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The howling, the wailing, the terrible hungry gaze... oh, wait, no, that's just the cat.

Which, by peculiar coincidence, also stares back at you.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I laughed and laughed.

Zen, anything I can do to help?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks, Shir! But I'm resigned to getting no sleep tonight and being useless tomorrow. The regular Wednesday meeting was cancelled, so maybe I can nap a lot and no one will notice.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Perhaps Zen's subconscious is somehow tied into the tropical storm Isaac. When she sleeps, it will also chillax. Is there a metorological equivalent to ambien?

With great power comes great responsibility. Does this mean I won't sleep until somebody offs Uncle Ben?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Would that be a CAT nap, to go with the staring and what not? Eh, it's the best I got. Heatwave is back, and I'm blah.

Looks like the weather~ma for my sister worked. And she passed the 2 days of pre-op testing and what not. She goes in for surgery in 3 hours or so. Any good thoughts would be appreciated. Especially "don't have bad reactions to anesthesia", as is that happens with our genes and all.

(More precisely, Biyi's mother would like that, and her father is willing to take a large quantity of pills to curb his motion sickness.)

Aw, that's true love, that is.

The Abyss, the cats, and I are going to bed now. Perhaps they will let me sleep.

Crossing my fingers, Zen.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Sometimes the comforting somnulent breathing of a cat is soothing. Sometimes, the cat wakes up and licks your eyelids. I can't always decide whether or not to lock the bedroom door.

eta: funny story (to me, to the cat i'm sure it was pretty much the End Of The World). yesterday morning when the alarm went off, I rolled over to slap the clock and there just happened to be a cat blissfully sleeping right. where. my. elbow. landed. After he peeled himself off the roof, he fled into the kitchen to await noms. Once I identified the dark blur soaring through the air of my bedroom I laughed and laughed.

etaa: i'm pretty sure this is a sign of just how bad a person i am. In my defense, he clearly wasn't injured at all, just very very startled.
