Thanks. I'm keeping myself busy with all sorts of activities of commemoration, but there's a part of me that's still expecting her reply on some things, you know? Even in this, I'm kinnda waiting for her to come and help us to understand how to go through this. She was such an integral part of the community.

My sister called last night (rare, as it seems in this family, only I know how to make calls). She called to tell that she will be going to Tampa Bay next week for spine surgery, to zap bulging discs and remove burrs from the spine and what not. Apparently, the pain she's been having for awhile now is far more serious than she let on. So, hopefully, this will help. But, it's during the RNC! And some hurricane. So, any "no-hurricane"~ma and good-surgery~ma would be appreciated next week. Thankfully she found a hotel for $150/night, after MUCH looking. The RNC has eated up all the hotel rooms in the area. Since she needs to be there for 5 days (it's an outpatient proceedure, but they don't want her traveling back to Orlando area for a couple days, until they run tests to make sure all is ok), she got a suite for traveling business folks. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room. Dad and his girlfriend will make the trip and help her out. Hubby will stay home with the rugrat.

I mourned, and still am mourning the loss of her as a "real life" friend. She was very present in my everyday online life in the past years
