Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I also need to put our brushes on one of those retractable keys thingies and then attach the base to the bathroom cabinet. All of our brushes and combs keep disappearing in the quest of Barbie grooming and there is never a brush or comb when I go to do her hair (and mine, for that matter) and it is pissing me off.

It is also possible I have a headache and am generally cranky right now.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Can you make a must-wear-headband edict, and then soften it by picking them out/making them from cool fabric with her?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Possibly. I am also considering a points/reward system for doing her hair in the morning with little fuss.

Another problem, though, is that she takes the stuff out of her hair when she gets to school. So I think I might tie the points/rewards to her actually COMING HOME with her hair still done.

If it doesn't bother her, why does it matter? I mean i think of "get that hair out of your face!" as a very typical mother saying, but I don't get it. Why need an edict?

brillig

When hair in my face gets too annoying I take scissors to it--which isn't advisable for a kid, of course--so is it bothering her at all?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

but it is in her face and all shaggy and she won't let me put it back in clips or anything and it is driving me nuts.

I think Ple dealt with this issue with Lillian by putting some product in her hair and combing it off her face. So strong hold gel is your friend.

Happy birthday Strix!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I only used the product because it was desired on her part after a certain age.

Hair is very personal, and it's not worth fighting over IMO.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

amyth, I do not miss those days. Much. And seriously, 45%? Oy to the vey.

Aims, I'm also not sure what the real issue is here.

Oh my GOD I have 50 bazillion things to do tonight, and I'm sitting here on the computer. Start with feeding animals and self, Self. I already know I am going to be up all freaking night. I never get enough sleep before a trip, ever.

But tomorrow I get to meet Strix!!!!! I cannot even tell y'all how excited I am, but you get it.

Had a great day glazing windows and chatting with my coworker E. She is so awesome, I'm so glad she's working with us now.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My ears hurt, and my neighbor's band is practicing, and it's driving me mad. I just ordered some noise-canceling headphones, but they won't be here for a few days, so I'm trying to not go crazy in the meantime. (I do have some earplugs, but I'm thinking those would be a bad idea when my ears are already hurting.)
