Hil,
I think it was you who suggested the tadpoles mats. I just put one together and it was great for the kitchen to stand on while doing dinner last night.
Great! Yeah, I used one in my old apartment, where the kitchen floor was really hard ceramic tile. I don't need it as much in my new apartment, where there's just linoleum over wood.
At least they aren't capitalizing on the blonde ringlets by putting her into a Little Lord Fauntleroy outfit.
I totally would do that.
Reporting in: the date went well. Not WELL well, but maybe I have a new friend. He's nice, and interesting, and smart. He is, I think, very shy and was very nervous. I'll ask him to go to a movie with me in a few days, if he doesn't first, and maybe eventually he'll relax and I'll get to see what he's really like.
For those interested in how he went from priest to atheist, the short answer was: There are good people in it, but the Church is corrupt.

Maybe you shouldn't have brought the ass-hooks to the first date?
There are good people in it, but the Church is corrupt.
That's my take. I mean, I know how good and thoughtful JZ is in her faith as are most of her fellow parishoners, but the institution is completely rotten (in my estimation).

I didn't! I was very non-threatening! I didn't even bring the cleavage!
the institution is completely rotten (in my estimation).
According to the formerly-Vatican-employed-ex-priest, you are correct.
There are good people in it, but the Church is corrupt.
Which is a step beyond my FiL's explanation for not being part of organized religion: "I believe in God, but I don't believe in people."
Zenkitty! Did I mention we got the Dita book yesterday? I think I forgot to say that while I was freaking out over my tremendous head wound. I will get my butt in the kitchen and make you some cookies in the near future.
Steph! You did say, and I forgot to acknowledge because date! I hope you both liked it! Cookies yum!
I think I need to be put down for a nap.
