Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Steph,

yes, but her kind of injury (and similar) work quickly to kill. You can't possibly have her kind of injury.

I know, which is why I'm frustrated that I can't google my own particular issue.

Does your health insurance have a consulting nurse you can call and ask about this?

Hahahaha. I was just trying to figure that out. There's nothing on my insurance card about it, nothing on the insurance website, and I tried to call the insurance customer service phone number to *ask* them if they even have a nurse hotline, and I got a recording that said customer service is only available until 6 pm EST.

So, I'm thinking if they DO have a nurse hotline, no one uses it because it's impossible to find.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Did it only hurt when you rolled over, or does it still hurt?

It still hurts. Not really *worse* than this morning, but yeah, it hurts. I don't even have to be touching it for it to hurt.

I would probably go? I tend to be the person who goes, because I don't want to be the dumbass who doesn't go, which probably means I end up overreacting. But the fact that it wasn't hurting and is now hurting that much seems weird to me.

Yeah, that's why I'm concerned. I feel like maybe Urgent Care is stupid for this, because they don't have MRI or CT scan machines, and if I need one, then I'll just have to go to the ER anyway. But the wait at the ER is so fucking long.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I wouldn't go.

I think you'd be manifesting other symptoms besides "it's sore" if you had a serious head trauma.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yeah, go to Urgent Care, Steph. They'll tell you if you need to go to the ER instead, but maybe you don't. Maybe it's something simple. But don't fuck around with it; it's your HEAD. You know? With your brain in it. Go to the doctor.
