Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Sox, that is utterly ridiculous. Is the bank trying to dig themselves in deeper?

In other news, I got these for my lawn for Halloween.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Argh. Suprise guest coming over at 7. I mean, I guess I'm glad the SO called with a couple of hours to go since the house is basically destroyed, there's underwear hanging on the chairs, and I'm wearing my pajamas. But I'm still cranky because it's a person that will take forever to get out of here, it's too hot in the house, which I wouldn't have done if I'd realized anyone was coming, and I would have made different choices with my day had I known. I can still bail and go to church, but I was not going to go so that I didn't have to put on clothes...

Wait. Is this a plant from the flylady? She saw that I skipped my morning routine, didn't she?

not your mom's socks.

I don't know - it seems like it. How hard is it to say "hey, let's not send out a clarification of denial on a THING THAT NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED." But I think that's probably the form letter they have in the can. They did say the denial happened because their guy filled the form out wrong, but that's -- really kind of the little half of the story.

I think they are hoping I go away because this is hard and so not a problem that I caused. To be honest, I wish it had never happened - I don't have time for this mess.

Set your timer and GO!

See this got my attention, even.

Okay, I'm doing good! Living room is habitable. At least there's a place for them to sit and meet, and the SO is working on setting up his studio. The kitchen looked bad, but wasn't actually bad. I put away the dishes that were out, washed the hummingbird feeders and wiped down the countertops. The guest bathroom was awash in power tools. Isn't that where everyone keeps their power tools, but that was just clutter, not anything that had to be dealt with other than putting away. Those are the main visible areas so I'm sitting down for my next fifteen minutes. And then I have to decide if I break down the recycling, take out the trash and call it done, and maybe go to church after all? Or if I use the remaining hour to do "house hugging," which I was going to have to do tomorrow anyway. Hm.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm finally getting into this Flylady thing. Or, at least, I'm giving it a try. The website is still way too cluttered for me to focus on anything, but I think I've clicked through enough things to figure out where I need to go.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm going to have to see some pictures, smonster, based on that awesome to-do list. What club are you going to?

I cooked a whole chicken dinner! Exciting. I'm tired now, though.
