Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

High point of my weekend: Touching and talking to Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) without being arrested. Him calling my cousin and me "lovelies".

Not getting arrested ROCKS!

Good night, Cass, and good luck tomorrow.

smonster - I'm proud and awed from your productivity.

Yay Strix for meeting deadline!

P-C - good to hear about The Meeting. And the blog thing is a smart idea. JZ, I'm glad to hear about a better med for Matilda.

It's nice that we care and keep track of each other.

Yes. It's also important.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh, I'm glad there's a better med for Matilda--that saga sounded utterly harrowing. I'd hug Matilda and mom if I were close enough.

P-C, I'm terrifically glad things went as well as they did. That's really awesome news.

I'm glad it was just Strix being work-buried and nothing more sinister. But I understand about the worry thing. I'm really good at that.

Laura, my sister in reading and lurking. Some days(weeks. months.) it's just hard to participate, for one reason or another.

Cass, you are such a star for getting all that accomplished.

And Zen, you and your sister are an awesome team. I'm glad she was able to come and make your place happen. I understand needing someone to point to one thing first, and then the next. The overwhelm, it is mighty.

Aims, jealous! Felton is a sweetheart, from all I've read.

I was glad to do it, smonster, I hope it helped. Bit too far to drive, now, though.

I'm sure there was more. Imagine yourself gently hugged, back-patted either in affection, commiseration, or encouragement, as you need it.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Wow, it's amazing how you can be motivated to do some chores when the condo is a decent temperature. Why didn't I turn the a/c on earlier? Oh right. I'm a penny pincher. With that, I got all the boxes and suitcases out of the bedroom, in preperation for construction people. Not sure when they will start, but thought it best to prepare for them while I had the gumption. Know what I realized when all the boxes and stuff were cleared. Damn I got a big bedroom! Sure, it's got a bed and 2 bookcases in it. not much. But that's the same furniture I had in the last bedroom, and it was cramped. Now, to fix the hole, finish the floor, and finish the painting, so I can move into it! Little things.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

JZ, somehow, online, I met a Katherine Howard. She had a two-year-old and a parenting column and didn't understand in the slightest why her name was exciting to me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Normally I wouldn't say this...but mebbe your mom should be drugged more?

My thought exactly. Does she drink tea? Maybe we could just start special ordering her tea with some cocktail of Ecstasy and muscle relaxants?

Last day in Pittsburgh before I fly back. Won't be back to SF until Tuesday morning though, so JZ gets to take Matilda to the dentist and (I hope) let the handyman in to deal with the rusted out pipe.

It's been a great trip with lots of easy, hanging out time with Chip and Alex tucked in and around the wedding. I always enjoy spending times with my close friends' children. I just need to have a sense of them as humans to know where my friends are too.

Chip and his new wife, Carole, were just so grateful that Alex and I came out. At the wedding interacting with his guests and at the Pirate's game yesterday It's been interesting to see how Chip has become an important person in his city.

He grew up affluent and went to an exclusive private school, and now he runs a foundation that supports public education (and all his kids went to public school), a liberal democrat in a very Republican neighborhood. And somebody so well known that we were guests in the PNC box at Pirates Game (at PNC Park) and the president of the Pirates leaned out over from the owners box to talk some biz with Chip during the game.

And his work extends beyond education, so that he's active with groups that support the arts, and save historic sites in the City and find public use for abandoned places. All the projects that a city like Pittsburgh needs. He's such a good person, and he's doing such good work.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I thought for a second we were going to get a pic of P-C with leetle teeny arms, trying to do a push-up...

Man, isn't it awesome when you realize you've accidentally been posting your Facebook statuses publicly for the last week or two? Christ.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Construction dudes just moved my POD. I suspect that POD will be a little confused when they come to pick it up whenever. But sidewalks need pouring and Stuart has a CAT.

I thought for a second we were going to get a pic of P-C with leetle teeny arms, trying to do a push-up...

I'd have clicked that. T-Rex arms are always hilarious.
