Oh, God. Oh, God. My hair. My hair! The government gave me bad hair!

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yay for stuff arriving. I feel your pain on unpacking. I have bed, couch, recliner, TV and microwave. Just about everything else is still in boxes, waiting for the hole in my floor to be fixed. I envy your ability to unpack.

JZ, no clue what to say, except you are awesome, and don't you ever forget it.

ION - I think someone has a vodoo doll on me, and has a pin in the left thigh. I have a strange piercing/burning feeling in the muscle. Kinda reminds me of getting IM shots when I had back surgery.

IOON, I have discovered West Wing is streaming on Amazon Prime. So, I'm watching now. Love this show!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

So many good moments. Like the secret plan to fight inflation. Or Margaret signing the President's name. Or the President taking both the Vicodin and the Percocet at once.

JZ, I'm sorry for the day you're having, and Matilda's troubles. No fun at that age.

not your mom's socks.

JZ - I am so mad at that pharmacy on your behalf. Banana flavoring... I rmemeber that stuff. Bergh. Not to mention how scary, compounded by all the pharmacy clowns. What a nightmare to have to deal with - poor Matilda and you. I hope the dentist solves things fast.

Tonight, Ryan decided that he wanted to act out the tale of the Three Billy Goats Gruff, with he and daddy alternating the parts of the billy goats and the "bad troll". Conversation:

"You're a billy goat, Daddy."
"Oh ,ok. Am I the little, medium or big billy goat?"
"You're the big billy goat..."
"Ok, I can be--"
"...Because you have a big tummy!"
"..."

Clearly I had never paid sufficient attention to this particular tale when younger, as I was startled to learn (while playing the bad troll) that apparently the story ends with the biggest billy goat knocking the bad troll off the bridge into the river! ...Then jumping in after him and, um, washing the troll's hair. (It also ends with the mummy troll doubled up in laughter.)

My boy.

{{{{{JZ}}}}} I'm sorry. That sounds like a very traumatic day. I hope Matilda is feeling better soon.

Also, this. I am gagging just thinking about banana flavoring.

Our wings are not tired.

waves hi

I have been coming in from time to time and skipping or skimming hundreds of posts, sending loving wishes, nodding in agreement, shaking fists of rage. And then not actually posting.

I have been in Otter Lake for a week now enjoying the cool nights and lovely days. DH arrived yesterday. The last month or so has been incredibly hectic and I am mentally and physically exhausted. Hoping to renew a bit.

I have lots to say to everyone, but it remains in my thoughts for the time being. I know we all go through this lurker thing from time to time so I appreciate the understanding.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

JZ - strength to you - may the dentist have a better idea.

Cass , I 'm glad the move is going smother than expected.

WE got back from Great Britain Friday ( no - not olympics - friend visiting and the Edinburgh fringe festival ) and I got a bonus souvenir of a cold.
