Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww.

I'm glad to hear it.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm glad to hear it.

That is kinda where I am at.

It sucks. But people can be wonderful and I appreciate that. And it is worth it. No matter how hard it gets.

Sometimes? It's really hard. I just am lucky to have an amazing support system.

And any minor earthquakes you feel, is just us giving you an extra vigorous hug.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Parents are funny.

Dear Lord.

Nora and Maria, all sorts of ~ma in your direction.

I think my mom is fuzzy on the concept of "information."

Steph, I think my father's related to your mother.

My parents are organized. They just don't understand the importance of giving me the information I need in order to do things, so all I get is fuzzy disclaimers that usually sends me to do twice the work needed to be done, if I'm very, very lucky. They have fantastic excuses, though: both come from pretty horrible houses/parents, so I trust them when they say they're doing their best. They are, and the fact that they're not abusing parents themselves is pretty amazing. It's just that I can't really comment or make suggestions on anything, because that will be judging and criticizing. Not, God forbid, just trying to make life easier for all of us.

Now, if I weren't information professional, I guess I would have been less picky about it. But since it's my job to make sure information will be easily accessible for all, I just don't understand why they're doing things extra hard.

Omnis, how's your father doing?

Aims, I hope you had a good birthday.

Thanks for the puppet/gyn talk. I truly need to schedule an appointment. That's one of the things that are too easy to forget/ignore when you're generally healthy and NGA.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I got up, achieved paper shredding, got milk and eggs at the market, and am now picking up R to go to the art market. Had to skip Doggies and Donuts, but the weather's crappy anyway. In theory I'm supposed to meet with my boss some time today, but goodness only knows when that will happen.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I accomplished things today! I went to the farmers market where I got a ton of vegetables and some cookies; went to the Verizon store where I got a new phone; went to Wegman's where I got some sushi for lunch, plus pasta and tofu and a few other things to make my farmers market veggies into meals; and now I'm home and eating the sushi before I start cleaning the living room and kitchen. I've also got to call to make appointments for hair and glasses, and I just remembered that I meant to also stop at the sporting goods store while I was out, because I need to buy a bike pump.

He had a doc appointment on the first. He said he'd call with the results of the tests. Either the results haven't come in yet, or he just isn't calling, which is normal for my family. Seems I'm the only one who calls anyone.

ION- That hole in the floor. Thursday the HOA board approved it's repair. Monday the construction comany is supposed to contact me. Today? Well. I woke up to a huge army of ants invading my house. Guess what the entry point is. Yup. That hole in the floor. Shocking, no? I sprayed with my citrus air freshner to stem the tide a little. It's slowed them down. Need to eat/shower and go out and get the real deal. Grrrrrr.

Thrive to spite them

I went to the a 2D Needle Felting class and learned that and decorated the purse I made earlier.

Also went to the Farmer's Market and got okra for free. I bought some last week and it was really tough and woody, first time the farm had grown it and they sold it too large. Also met someone from Tallahassee and we exchanged numbers.

I was getting frustrated at the class because I was trying to get make things perfect and I'm bad at visualize certain things accurately but I think it turned out well. I just need practice. But it was fun and I saw a picture of a project I want to do.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Sibling News #1: My little sister sent me her Nano to replace my stolen Shuffle!! Now I have to figure out how to use the damn thing. I was literally minutes away from buying a new Shuffle when the mailman knocked on my door. And I was actually texting with my sister at the time. It was crazy.

Sibling News #2: My parents are meeting FSIL tomorrow. If they are cooperative, she would be okay with moving the wedding to March. We'll see how it goes.

(I hope my awesome wedding gift is still awesome in March. It should be, but it would have been MORE awesome sooner.)

Thrive to spite them

So I need cat advice about Dean. Not about peeing this time.

I was petting him a few days ago and I thought I felt a knot. But then it "disappeared" so I thought I just imagined it. And then tonight I felt it again, on his right side right under his ribs and it's round, almost perfectly round and felt hard.

The lump moves and it's not always there. I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not.

Any ideas. Also note that Dean is a super skinny cat.
