Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

brillig

Sometimes I have very nice plotty dreams that make me wish for a dream recorder. It's better than dreaming about installing computer programs.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Timelies, All -

Much ~ma for the family smonster. That's so hard.

Met with a financial planner yesterday, now I just gotta start getting my act together on his recommendations. We agree that I'm not utterly screwed, just a little backward, and both think that I can get on the right track with some effort (from me) and some cheerleading/buttkicking (from him). And we had a little bonding about losing awesome cats to cancer, which makes me like him a bit more that I already did.

Hope that Steph finds herself weasel-free this morning.

Cool dream, Connie.

I feel like there was more, but "...being over full of self, my mind did lose it." (One of my fave quotes from Midsummer's)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Much family~ma, smonster. Goodbye, Nutmeg.

I just had to make an appt for Puppycat to see if I get her tranqs for the drive. I am going to cry my eyes out at that appt, I know. Because it's with my awesome vet that I have to leave and she was so wonderful with Kittenish.

Stupid management company wants to come by and inspect my apartment tomorrow morning. Not for move out clean, but to see what needs to be replaced (and, presumably) ordered. I am cranky about it. I am mid-move, I don't want people here unless they are packing fiends.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I left an empty paper grocery bag on the floor. Rustling. There is now a cat sitting inside it, looking very pleased with himself indeed. Why do I bother spending money on toys?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Why do I bother spending money on toys?

Why indeed? Order toys for yourself and give the cat the boxes they come in.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My morning was the opposite of Zen's. I didn't wake up until 9 am and even then I was the first one up. Still on island time, I think. Today will be... slow... but we should finish unpacking. The house is in chaos as we had to pull out some carpeting before we left, but I have almost 4 weeks to pull everything in order before school starts.

This is a good plan. It's what I do, at least.

Ha! And that reminds me that I need to buy a new bottle, because I'm out.

Meme update (If y'all are getting sick of me and my condo woes, please tell me)

Construction guy came out and did thorogh inspeaction. Cut holes in the cielings of the two garages. Mapped out everything about the unit. Said there are 2 or 3 ways to go about fixing it. Depending on which route the HOA picks, will determine how long it will take to repair. Doesn't expect to start it for at least a week or two, just given the nature of HOA approval process. Said I should be fine living in the other rooms until then. They would do their best to minimize dust/debris exiting the bedroom, and then clean up real good after they left. Judging from what I saw of their handy work in the exploratory holes, I believe him. So, looks like I'm going to be moving Friday and Sunday this week.
