Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I like Sue's optimism.

Pacific fabric, Jilli--in Bellevue.

Directness is totally underrated in dating, I think. But we did eventually agree on a dinner-sushi date on Monday. We shall see how that goes.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Nora, I slept with the hash marks on. And my boss is about to come over to get something. Thankfully, he and his wife are Who fans so they'll get it.

meara, I'm with you on the straightforward approach. Not a fan of guessing games.

I have a wee hangover. Worth it.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I did an initial scrub when I got home in the kitchen with hand soap and paper towels. The rest scrubbed off pretty good in the shower. Whoo!

I am not hungover, but I am hella tired.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Pacific fabric, Jilli--in Bellevue.

Ah. Then I am not surprised you didn't see any Democrat fabric. The owners of Pacific Fabric lean toward conservative anyway (IIRC), and Bellevue is not a likely demographic for fabric prints for both parties.

Thrive to spite them

I just woke up from a nap. I've been feeling so sleep deprived the last several days but I'm pretty sure I'm getting enough rest.

Will spent the weekend with me, or Thursday night through this morning. I ended up having to work Friday morning but it worked out okay. Saturday we went to Shelburne Museum to see the Steampunk and Robot exhibit and it is SO AWESOME! I want to go back.

They had a display of toy robots and sci fi toys including a large Dalek and Davros. The steampunk display included Steampunk Darth Vader, Steampunk Boba Fett, Steampunk Tardis, Steampunk and Sonic Screwdriver.

Plus this whole thing that was like items siezed by the FBI from a mad scientist.

I didn't take enough pictures. There were even 2 areas with props and bits of costumes for picture taking. I couldn't get Will to put on the steam punk goggles, but he took some pictures of me. I couldn't wear the bits of costume but it was still fun.

It was really cool.

The temp gig is going to be interesting, the person is the executive assistant to the chair of the neurology dept at the college. Actually there are 2 chairs, because the dept is combining with another and 1 chair will be interim and the other will be staying on to help. And I have to deal with scheduling for both and they have crazy schedules. Also I have to do attendance at Grand Rounds and take meeting minutes (which, honestly I've never done before) and order office supplies.

The woman going on maternity leave is very, very organized and she has as spreadsheet for each week with stuff I have to every day. And I'm only doing the stuff that can't be put off until she comes back. (either mid Sept or end of October).

Shit's all sorts of different now.

t phlump

I am having a hard time of it lately. It's a lot of environmental stuff coupled with the brain chemistry stuff and I seem perpetualy Out of Spoons. I am woefully behind in all things life and school related, I haven't been to church in four weeks because I con't bring myself to face anyone there because I haven't gone in four weeks, the house looks like total shit, and the more I feel bad about not getting anything done, the absolute less I do. I think I need Joe to take my recliner into the basement so I can't sit on it and watch tv, not doing anything productive.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Oooh, Aims is me! I feel your pain, and raise you a BLEARGH FUCKITY.

I'll trade you houses for a week. My place is pit; I've been out of spoons and the Stupid Arm (TM) hasn't helped, as I still am not allowed to lift anything more than a pound with it, and typing too much really makes it hurt.

And I spent 8 HOURS throwing up last Friday, and THIS Friday night, I thought my stomach had popped or I had food poisoning -- I didn't throw up, but it hurt WAY worse than when I broke my arm.

I am SO behind. Finally feel semi-demi motivated today. I made groceries! And will take a shower! PROMISE.
