Nora - I'm so sorry you're losing your employee. I hope you find a good replacement quickly.
Omnis - thank goodness you found the hole! And yeah - holy crap Hole in the Floor.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

She found another position that perfectly matches her masters work, and I understand and all, but it suuucccckkkks. I'm so tired. My sister had a similiar thing. She has 2 employees. One awesome. One, eh. She went away on short vacation. Decided while away, that she would lay off the eh and hire the awesome full time once tax season was done. When she came back, awesome employee had given notice that she'd be leaving once tax season was done. I forget for what, but, no changing minds. My sis was very upset. Tons of sympathy for you Nora!!!
And now I am on hold with my insurance company, because that spill I had in Vegas in Aug 2011... yeah, my insurance still hasn't paid the balance of the ER visit, and a collections agency is coming after me for the balance, and dinging my credit report! UGgggggg.

Thankfully, the mortgage has already been approved.
Ah, fun times. Good thing it's the summer, so it's a bit slow right now. Work? Who needs to work? I can just make phone calls all day.
ETA: Well, that was nice. I just have to fax the collection notice to my insurance, and they will jump on it. Now. I gotta find collection notice in pile of moving junk. Sigh.
ETA #2: Called and left message at management company. Fun!! (yeah, not so much. This week will really test my stress coping abilities. So far, nobody killed, and no acid burps. I count that as good)
I don't think there's a mailbox place in town. I know there's not anything like Kinkos. Although I may ask at the library or see if someone knows where I can do that in town at my crochet class.
Otherwise I'll find one in Burlington.
askye, no fed ex or ups in the area?
Moving is a million kinds of stressful. I hope it works out. If you need, o-a, I know a dude there that does construction law. Which, you know, I really hope you won't need.
I may very well cry at least once today.
I seriously do this at least once a day currently. Sometimes I don't even notice. Like, huh, why is my cheek wet or why can't I see out of my glasses? Oh, crying. Again.
I just ordered moving supplies and a special expensive box for my tv. Now to go over all of the paperwork with PODs and sign that and then ... well, more culling of the things, I suppose. And dealing with allergies. Actualfax ones, not the crying. Though the combination is partially why my eyelids are swollen again.
Omni. Collection agencies can really be helpful when it turns out you are trying to pay them and there is something they can do to make it possible. For example, if you have misplaced your collection notice I guarantee they will fax you another on request, or email you another. (Create a throwaway email at a free service, and delete it afterwords.)
Nope, but I just did a quick search and it looks like Staples has fax services so I'll go there.
Tom went to the dentist and it's an issue with an infection where he had a root canal.
I literally feel his pain. Right now, as a matter of fact. No fun.

But given how fast she went from nice to bitch when I was asking for details of the account. It's a $1500 bill that my insurance has paid close to $3000 on, and they say we still owe $1300 on it (and acruing interest). That is all kinds of BS. I really feel for folks working in collections. But, if I'm trying to figure things out, there is no need to start raising your voice at me, and spewing "if you aren't going to pay now, it will impact your credit rating" (or something to that effect), yeah, I just can't deal with that. I fear it's going to take awhile to clear this up. And that because it's gone to collections, and probably needlessly, it's going to make it that much harder to clear up. All this because we have regional health care system. But that is a debate for some other time, I suppose.
