'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Was it Mary, Queen of Scots, that it took a couple of whacks to decapitate her? I bet she'd have had complaints.

ION, there is a fly in my wine. I got a complaint.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I had another conversation in ASL! I am so rusty -- the person I was talking to used several signs that I just couldn't remember, even though I'd learned them before. But now that I've seen them again, I remember. So I guess I'll have to work hard to catch up for the first day or so of class.

Thrive to spite them

And I found an affordable computer chair that tilts at Staples and got that.

I broke the back off my other one and basically have a stool.

Only the chair is a two person assembly job. The arms hold the back and seat together and I can't figure out a way to hold the arm rests on properly and get the screws in without them tilting badly.

So this has to wait until I see Will again.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

sj, I don't think I've said - I am sorry for your loss. My grandma had Alzheimer's; it complicates an already sad time.

Go away, stoopid headache.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks everyone for the sympathy. I ended up having a very nice evening with my friends, which was nice. I'm lucky to have so many good people in my life.

Fuuuck, migraine. Pretty sure it's a vertebra out of place, which I may have already said here or Natter. Went to party - music was hell. R and I went outside and who comes walking up but the one person I know in Metairie, one of my OKC dates. I think he thought I was being weird, so I texted him and explained migraine. Back home now. Gonna take some flexeril. Today I've tried naproxen with magnesium, then alcohol and caffeine, no dice. So fingers crossed on the flexeril.

Hope that does the trick, smonster.

Also, I think I forgot to say here - Happy Birthday, Zen!

Last, Sail, your FB post totally inspired me, and my kitchen is now clean, yay. Thanks!

Ugh, I hear you smonster--I had a date and we walked all the hell over the city, but eventually the headache I'd had when I woke up came back only worse...I completely lost focus and was like "uh..." and had to have her take me home. Not sure how I felt about her, and how much of that was affected by the pain. Ugh. I also always want what I can't have. I'm like "Well, she's not as cute as last night's girl..." nevermind that last night's girl may not even want to see me.

Trying to figure out what I'm doing tonight--after more painkiller and sudafed, head is better, but definitely not all the way. But I don't want to just sit at home and go to bed early. May have to though.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Headaches, please leave my Bitches alone! Go!AWAY!! I'm afraid that's about all I can do, except for virtual hugs. Hope they all go away soon.

I got a lot to do this week. Part of me is not looking forward to it. Home Depot didn't have the shower curtain bar I wanted, or the grab bar for the tub. Humbug. I did a very vain/cosmetic thing, which was swap out all the switch plates from the yellowy/ivory color to white. I also Swiffer'd my new living room floor. So much easier/quieter to clean than carpet! Met upstairs neighbors, finally. I was told they are selling soon, and were going to retire, so I was expecting an older couple. Nope. About my age. They will be moving back to Atlanta by the end of the year. Sad, as they seem nice people, and have a cute dog. Partial bloodhound at least. Maybe full. Dunno dog breeds very well.

Does tossing the 'science projects' from the fridge count as packing? Ugg. I hate moving. Hopefully, this will be last time for quite a while.
