Buffy: A Guide, but no water or food. So it leads me to the sacred place and then a week later it leads you to my bleached bones? Giles: Buffy, really. It takes more than a week to bleach bones.

'Dirty Girls'

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm sending you "focus"...vibes, Ginger.

I refuse to be ignored, unless *I* choose it. I do frosty affronted dowager pretty well. I'm taking lessons from Dame Maggie.

Oh, sj. I'm glad you have a party to go to tonight. Will you get to see the 'phews, now that you know they're in town?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Typo, do you have any first hand reports of decapitation stopping headaches?

No one has complained.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

After driving six hours, I finally made it to Gallaudet. (GPS said it would take four hours, but I've driven the NJ-DC route often enough to know that GPS was lying.) I've got to get used to being in an ASL environment again, but it seems like my brain is starting to adjust already. For the first little while, whenever someone signed something to me, I had to ask them to repeat it, because I needed to switch over to "understand ASL" mode. After just a few hours, and a few interactions (registering, getting dorm stuff, exchanging my key for one that actually fit in my door, and getting dinner), I'm not having to ask for repetition anymore.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Okay, I know there are frequent fliers in here. I am 35 miles away from a free Delta ticket. What can I do (preferably not costing money) to earn myself some SkyMiles?

I already participate in eMiles.com and eRewards.com.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Dana, how many miles do you need to get a free ticket? I've been doing the same thing for years, but I travel so infrequently I've yet to be able to cash them in.

ION, the weather for Madison is predicting 108 on Tuesday. WTF, Wisconsin?

Thrive to spite them

I've had bad experiences with Sears before.

Le Nubian - we were in the store for about 10 -15 minutes. The salesmen were busy, but Will went and found a tape measure to check the dimensions of an out of the box a/c.

The a/c units were right beside the register where the salesmen were so they could see us and see we'd been there looking.

The other customer walked in and was in the store for a few minutes and the salesman walked right past us to get an a/c unit (for the phone customer) where the other customer was standing.

As he walked past he didn't acknowledge us or say that he'd be with us or even say hi. He immediately started helping the other guy. Asking him questions, trying to find out what he wanted.

It was like we were invisible.

I'm sorry for your loss, sj.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

For Delta, I think you can technically get a domestic round-trip ticket for 30,000, but I never see anything for less than 40,000.

Our wings are not tired.

Dana, you could just try calling Delta and asking them for 35 miles. Worst that can happen is they say no. I did it years ago when I needed another 145 miles on United for a ticket.
