Sad news: Ernest Borgnine has died of renal failure at 95. link
I really enjoyed his work. McHale's Navy was a staple of my after school viewing and he always seemed like a genuinely sweet guy in interviews.
eta: what. do. you. know. I had not idea he had been married to Ethel Merman for less than 6 weeks. Heh. They were even more impetuous than Kim Kardasian!
As for Fireworks Zeww...while I can sort of understand the entertainment value of watching his cluelessness, I'm with whoever it was who suggested blocking his number upthread.
Creepy seeks its lowest level. It's interesting until it is suddenly awful.
eta: heh. that was a totally lame mispost. I have no knowledge of Fireworks guy's relationship with Ethel Merman.
smonster, I hope Fireworks Zeww gets a clue and realizes his attention is no longer wanted.
We're finally getting thunder and lightning, and little bits of rain. Here's hoping we get a decent soaking rainfall. We've been without for nearly a month.
I don't know how to block a number? Can I do it on the Verizon website?
you might be able to. check and see.
So sorry to hear about Ernest Borgnine. McHale's Navy was one of my very favorite TV shows as a kid. His little turn on RED was a treat to see a couple of years ago.
I was just looking up Ernest Borgnine's IMDB page to see what he had done recently, and I had no idea that he was Mermaid Man on Spongebob Squarepants.
Borgnine had a really interesting career, going from the Oscar nominated Marty in the Fifties to the ultimate Peckinpah Western in The Wild Bunch.
If it was a big movies of the mid-century, he was likely in it.
Okay, I can block numbers for 90 days at a time on the Verizon website. I've asked him to stop texting me - he contacts me again, I block him.
