Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hey, YAY, pay it forward!

This is why I love you guys! Someone always comes through, and people take turns.

(OK, I might be a bit prosecco-in-100-degree-weather-tipsy, but it holds true!)

The status is NOT quo.

Cool, Tuesday is better for me too. However, you may get roped into helping us move furniture if we hang out that day since we have to have the bedroom completely emptied out before the new flooring goes in on Wednesday and my back is shot.

I'm just going to say again that I love you people.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Red-letter day! Today, for the first time, Ryan watched some of a David Attenborough production with me: The Life of Birds, episode 7 ("Finding Partners"). He greatly enjoyed the colourful courtship displays, he's now old enough to follow daddy's explanations of the behaviour, and bird sex is thankfully not, as a rule, overly graphic. (Fortunately, the Argentinian lake duck did not make an appearance.)

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Busy day on the board yesterday. Caught up. Yesterday was a busy day at new condo too. It is PAINTED!!!!!!! WOOt!!!! Holy cow. OK, so, I've never really painted before, because, well, I've always rented. So I was asking M&C advice on these things. And my thought was, a painting party would make things go faster, more hands and all. But I know, if you have too many hands, then people get chatty, and stop working, but others plow on and get bitter and frustrated. So I kept asking, how many is a good number? Is 3-4 extra hands good. "yup, should be fine". Then at the end of the day, they both exclaimed "we never thought we'd finish it all in one day". Huh? Why didn't you say that, I'd have invitied more people! Thank doG I bought the Wagner Power Roller thing. Oh.My.God! That helped a ton. M did 3 walls with that, in the time it took C to do one. And it made the ceiling a doable thing. Anyhow, the condo is painted! There is still some touch ups that need doing, and the windows/doors trim work. But that's easy, and I'm going to wait until the new floor is in, as they will install new quarter round baseboards.

My muscles still ache. Oy. Ow. And now clue why I'm up so early. Hoping second sleep kicks in soon, before light of day kicks in and wakes me up.

ION - PC, how are the hands? This might sound strange, and no clue how I discovered it. But awhile ago, I had tingling hands. Both. And I switched from antipersperant/deoderant to just deoderant. And that did it. Something about the aluminumdunnorestofchemicalname in the antiperperant that was having negative effects on my body. Just a thought. Odds are, if you were typing a lot, it was a ergonomic thing. But, always nice to be aware of odd things that are out there.

OK, I'm going to try and sleep again. (ouch. new muscles found in arms/shoulders/around collar bones and back)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, omnis! It's having your new home painted exactly the way you want it just a wonderful feeling?

P-C, I sometimes get hand numbness as a precursor to a bad headache (maybe a migraine?).

Sean, insent last night. And how much do I love buffistas with their helpful information? I really hope that you are able to get some help with food stamps or a food kitchen, etc.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Sean, I know absolutely nothing about the US situation with assistance of that kind (if you were in the UK I'd have all kinds of ideas), but I hope you get good advice and the food you need. I know too many people going without food in this recession - it's appalling.

Thought those of you who were so helpful with Merlin (the cat living behind the sofa) would want to know that he finally came out, but went straight outside via the cat door and hasn't come back. (We know we were stupid to leave it unlocked - I'm very mad at myself.) We've been putting food outside for the last three evenings - it disappeared the last two nights, but it's hard to know who's eating it. I'm sad and hope he comes back, but he wasn't microchipped and we literally hadn't been able to get near enough to put a collar on him. I feel like a very bad person right about now. We did try, at least.
