I did laundry in my own washer/dryer today! Woot! It's rather big for a stacked unit. Maytag. Looks at least 10 years old. It fit two sets of sheets and some towels easily. Lots of wall treatments. Finally picked the last color for accent wall in living room. Ended up in a red hue. The greens & blues just looked funny with CFL lights. And when there was a CFL and daylight, it was even stranger. Tomorrow is paint day. Mom has made great strides on the kitchen. I'd say if it's not ready for move in, it's damn close to it. M&C want to paint the bathroom and kitchen tomorrow. They are almond color, and paint in fine condition. I don't have the mental energy to decide on a color just yet. I keep telling them, when I move in, I can paint those without moving any furniture. LOW PRIORITY! Silly kids, so full of energy.
Oh, and I forgot who recomended the liquid sander deglosser stuff. THANK YOU! OMG, so much easier. Arm is tired, sure. But MUCH better than sanding. Less mess too.
OK, I'm gonna pass out while watching Luther. Night!
So has anyone heard of Nerds at Heart? They do singles events where you play board games. Uh, I think I might need to do this.
Why did this not exist when I was online dating?! That is awesome!
Although, if some of those pics are a fair representation, they can do so much better in the board game stakes.

They aren't in my area. I've sent them a note requesting as much. I can't think of a better way to find a mate!

Yeah, it looks like they tend to stick to more traditional party games. Not going to be busting out Dominion or Gloom or anything. Which is fine since you table-hop every twenty minutes.

Ooh, I'm almost caught up with that show! Two episodes to go.
I'm just starting episode 2. And as tired as I am, I am not passing out. Humbug.
"What are you going to do in November, write in Goldwater? Clearly you cannot choose the wine in front of the President, and just as clearly you cannot choose the wine in front of Romney".
WindSparrow, I love you. Totally going to use this.
I'm not posting much these days, but am still reading along when I can, and just wanted to say that Liese's post on July 4th was a thing of beauty. If I were planning on raising Rose in a church community of any kind, I would want people like Liese and JZ running the show.

Nods.
Ion. Why am I awake so early?!?

Ahahahaha.
Slept 12 hours, yay. Feeding animals, then off to Doggies and Donuts, then the market, then helping a friend pack and clean, I think.
It's not even noon and it already feels like 103. When we went out this morning, it was like walking through soup. Ick.
I thought I was starting a great day at 6am...only to be greeted by a major f-up in the pet care company I consult to. It's so frustrating...I feel like a broken record. "When a client is upset, NO EXCUSES. Simply, 'we understand you are unhappy. Here is what we can do about it.' Period. Don't take it personally, don't push back.
We had the opportunity to sweep in to save the day with 17 dogs in close proximity...we could have been real heroes but because the pet care manager can't seem to hear me when I BEG them to not send walkers to customer service interviews, we've probably lost the whole gig.
Our walkers are great, but they aren't hired to be sales people...and with good reason. I feel like we set them up, over and over again. Everybody loses. Sigh.
Oh, bonny. That sounds super frustrating. Why didn't they call you?
I just got a text from Firecracker Boy:
If I ever have a girlfriend again, I would like Saturday m;ornings to be reserved for intimacy.
I don't even know how or whether to respond to that.
