Xander: How? What? How? Giles: Three excellent questions.

Xander/Giles ,'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I knew what you meant, Nora. And it was a play first, right?

I knew quotes from Steel Magnolias before I ever saw it, from roommates having it memorized.

I have no plans for tomorrow, except maybe accompanying R while she takes the kittens to the emergency vet. Mickle isn't doing too well compared to her brother.

Oh, I think in some ways, having it be all-black makes things way more awesome and relevant and interesting. And like I said, I would TOTALLY watch that cast do something. Just...I hate to see them do something that I will be hearing and comparing the original cast the whole time, y'know?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

And it was a play first, right?

Yes.

I'm interested in the new one. I like the play and the original movie. I see nothing wrong with it being an all black cast. And, I like the women in the remake, so I stand with David on this. I am looking forward to it and reserve judgement till I see it.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I kind of like the idea since we still seem to be so challenged in the area of colorblind casting as well as in creating casts that are truly diverse (I really do mean two different things, and if pressed I might even be able to explain).

On the one hand, I like the concept that if you change the race of the cast, it doesn't change the story. OTOH, it's sometimes interesting to think about how different cultures discuss and react to the same situation.

This. I guess I'm very much wondering how much it's different in ways OTHER than just the color of the characters. I mean, the preview was pretty much word-for-word, as I remember it. Will the rest of it be? (I was also cringing a bit at a few of the accents, but I guess that's not different from the original either and the crazy mishmash there!)

What Vortex said.

Even though I'm in my pjs and not going to the Dirty Dancing party, I'm still mentally reviewing my wardrobe to put together an outfit. Sadly, I seem to have more country club-type togs than sweaty sexy staff clothes. Where did I go wrong with my life?!?!? Although I do have a pair of ankle-length high-waisted black skinny jeans, but those would be hella hot.

Oh, got it. Black short shorts, red short-sleeve western shirt tied under boobs, and black wedges (sadly I lent my dance shoes out and never got them back). Okay, I can sleep now.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I might have found a car. A certified BMW, same year as my old car, has all wheel drive (apparently a must in snowy CT winters). Lower mileage than my old car (by 10K), and less than a thousand dollars over the settlement.

Certified is good.

I was lucky enough to be able to basically buy the exact same car but with a better stereo interface for only a little more than my insurance payout.

I'd like the idea of a bluetooth thingie but I am way too into cars with stiff suspensions and that adds killer road noise at freeway speeds. My mom knows where I am often based on what she can hear. I mean, not just randomly but if I call her after I land at PDX? She totally knows where I am based on road noise. Or how bad traffic is. Because slow or stopped is also quieter.

I really hope you find a car you can love.
