Karl,
when I helped my dad pack up his mother's things after her funeral, I had to whisper to myself about 3x an hour: "time to put on your big girl pants and get this done." My dad was really distraught and it was tough for me to see that. I had to help him stay on track and keep things together.
It is incredibly draining to have to hold it all together when you just want to say "fuck it" and curl up in a corner.
Lot's of Internet hugs and 'ma, man.

bonny, glad you are ok!!
Just saw Moonrise Kingdom. I loved it. Now, going out for margaritas and to see Magic Mike. This is how to beat the extreme heat, I tell you.
Awww, amyth. I hate that I can't see Magic Mike with you! I'm trying to get some neighborfriends together to go.
Yeah, we're meant to see that movie together. I'll text you drunkenly when I get out about my thoughts and feelings.
amyth, I'm out of texts until 7/5. But I would love to talk or IM.
Eyelids... so heavy. Naptime approaching rapiddkflnaeojan

Kind and gentle thoughts to you today, Karl. And for a while yet to come. I'm glad there are friends and willing hands, even though they don't ease that ache.
I'm happy to hear that Le Nubian has a home! And good luck, erika, with the van.
Good to know, re: texts. Will communicate via other channels. Hope you get to see it!
Good luck, erika.
Figs at Hollygrove, yes.
{{Karl}} I don't know what else to say except, peace and strength.
Want to go see Magic Mike (at Canal Place?) but am in an extreme state of sloth. Not helped by the fact that our poor AC is having issues and our landlord advised to take out the unnecessary second filter and run the fan (w/o the air) for a few hours. (he's a good landlord, he actually had a very similar problem last month and that's what the AC dude advised, so it makes sense to try that first, esp. on the weekend.)
Have put blackout curtains on our front door window panel, see if that helps things.
