Excellent way to send me off to dreamland, gorgeous!

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Ahh. I'm sorry that place can be fraught for you.
OKC update: K of the marathon dates texted me to inquire after the kittens but didn't ask to make plans this weekend, nor did I. C I had brunch with Sunday and then we went on a dog-walking date, and I'd like to see where things go, but I'm not sure he feels the same. He's leaving for a two-week work trip to China on July 5th, so it may be a while before I have a better sense. I never messaged B back, the guy who chooses his friends based on looks, and he hasn't persisted, thank goodness. A guy messaged me who looks pretty cute, and we seem to share a lot of the same viewpoints, but the bad joke in his message was a turnoff and it wasn't a fluke, judging by his profile.
And so Okays the Cupid. In conclusion, meh. I still have intense flashes of missing StW, and not finding other guys as cute. Annoying. Our first date was one year ago tomorrow, and we went on three dates that weekend. Feh.
Someone said that it's all happening at the zoo.
I do believe it. I do believe it's true!
May post more later. Was a fantastic trip, lots of activity and animal behaviour.
You know, I think we have bigger community probs than Gustav, like say, why smonster isn't so inundated with date site requests, that she can't even breathe. I mean, have you seen her, Buffistas?
Oh, she gets dates, all right, Cindy. Problem is, none so far is the right person for our smonster!
Cindy, I read that and thought "Gustav? Is that the latest hurricane name?"
Speaking of dating, Saturday girl (the one who loves closest, but is the least attractive to me) was texting me today. Sigh.
But yay F2F and hanging with Buffustas. Does remind me though that I wish we all lived closer and could just hang out, be like "hey I wanna see a movie, I'm feeling in need of company" and bam! Company! Where's Joe on that transporter beam, anyway?
I do like that typo though. "Loves closest" is a real plus.
Hah! Make that lives closest. She's about six blocks away. Which would be super convenient...and probably would freak me out if I actually dated her. :)
Thanks, Cindy. And yeah, kind of what Strix said.
Cindy, I read that and thought "Gustav? Is that the latest hurricane name?"
There was a hurricane Gustav, a few years ago. People evacuated from NOLA for it.
She's about six blocks away. Which would be super convenient...and probably would freak me out if I actually dated her. :)
The real problem is if you break up.
Not really awake... going back to sleep.
I am so fortunate. Again. Merciful heavens I am grateful to have passed the night with no problems.
A friend-neighbor's car is completely totaled on my block due to sudden and vicious tree bangage. An entire third of a stately shade tree landed right on top of his little red convertible. Geico won't cover it because it is 'an act of God.'
Fussy neighbor's immaculately tended garden is pretty much wiped out due to another tree limb.
Street closed for chainsaws and trucks.
One street over, a red pick up truck is now a spectacular V due to a 40 foot tall, roughly 10 feet around tree not so gently lying down on it. The tree reached across the street, scraped off the guttering on an old Victorian, destroyed the iron stairs up to the next house over and settled in the front garden. Bad, yes, but at least the houses weren't Godzilla'd.
Good friends will probably be without power for a few days, so I'm making room in the fridge for whatever they can cram in there.
It felt pretty weak that all I could do this morning was go into the yard of a disabled neighbor and right her bins, then carry away some branches.
At least two people are reported dead. One when a tree fell on his car.
I've said it before, but praise be to the City gods who cut down my beloved 40' tree about 8 years ago. The replacement is about 15 feet tall and provides lovely shade...and is unlikely to take anyone out any time soon.
