Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Strix, dear, you are entirely real, and deserving of a million hugs and a cocktail of your choice for the crappy dark patch you've been in lately.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hi, Strix! Glad to see your font! Sorry you're mired in the Slough of Despond.

Crippling public debt!

Oh, that's much better than the joke I was going to make! Shorter and less filthy, for sure.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aims, what's Greek quinoa? What do you put in it?

Everything but money!

I cook it and then chill it in the freezer while chop up the ingredients: artichoke hears, kalamata olives, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions. I mix the quinoa and veggies and add pesto and feta. Though tonight, I will put the feta on the side for Joe and I to add.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

That sounds excellent -- do you toss it with olive oil or anything? t edit I guess you wouldn't need to, necessarily, with the pesto. I read too quickly.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Thanks, all. I feel like I've been nibbled on by ROUS's but I am starting to kick them viciously, so there is that.

I've missed you all!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I just left an (unacademic, for SF/F fans) lecture while flipping the bird to the lecturer.

It was justified. He was distorting history, unneeded, for the sake of his argument. He wouldn't admit he's wrong. We argued. He shushed me and continued talking bullshit.

And also, yes, hi. You can pretty much expect me posting more regularly starting next week. Right now, people are wrong, life is mostly good but oh-so-amazingly-busy, and I missed this place.

(I also have no idea why I kept sitting in this place 15 minutes after he started babbling unnecessary bullshit. It was really a nice and funny piece about the differences between epic fiction and gritty fiction until he had to explain why he thinks gritty fiction is more popular today. Without facts. Just his very general ideas about life and how they are.)

So. How y'all doing?

Shir! It's great to see you. The Affordable Health Care act was ruled Constitutional. We're happy.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yipes Vortex, so glad you are OK. How scary!

I also want to say congrats to o_a on impending home ownership. May it treat you well!

And Aimee, that Greek quinoa sounds delicious. I will probably crib that recipe.

We had a rough morning. But now the sitter is here so I will probably skedaddle for a couple hours. And then stretch class tonight and maybe go to the pool with the kids after dinner.

Ooh! Yes, it even reached our news. Congrats!

Wish you a better day from here on, Burrell.
