I feel you. All the beach bugs (no-see-'ums, mosquitoes, etc.) bit the shit out of me on vacation, and what was weird was that all I got was small hard red welts that didn't itch. They took easily 2 1/2 weeks to totally go away. An overreacting immune system is a pain in the ass.

I have an appointment this afternoon with a new dentist, to look at the whole burn-the-crops-salt-the-earth approach to my infected root canal. Here's hoping a different antibiotic will knock it out.
