A Grail tainted with whiteness.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Holy grails don't marry white women.
Will he be busier and more stressed right after med school as an intern or whatever?
It's up to your brother in the end, though. Which way is he leaning? Or maybe I should ask, why did they plan the wedding for next May?
I think they wanted to do it sooner rather than later, from what my FSIL said. I'm not sure which way they're leaning, though. I know they were about to send out the invitations; she just asked me for my address recently.

Don't know. Who went to med school?
Wait, do we have any doctors here? I can't think of any. That seems weird.

Not until July, usually. (Best friend is doctor!)
To expand, match day (where they find out what internship they matched with) is in March and, as far as I know, most internships start in July. Some fields may have other commitments that need to be fulfilled during that time (maybe boards? I'm not really sure).

He sure will! (I dated a woman through her last year of med school and the first of her residency)
His residency hours will be insane and he'll have a hard time getting time off. He'll have more time for a honeymoon and setting up house and getting married now.
My ex-the-medical-student worked 100 hour weeks for two years after medical school. And she wasn't doing surgery or anything like that. She was a pediatrician.
And what David said is why we don't have any doctors. They are mostly way too busy.
Dr. Best Friend also got married during medical school and it didn't hurt her school career any. I think it was during September of her 3rd year? She's done more than just fine! Both in her marriage and her career.
Oh, and there was a good amount of opposition from her now father-in-law! They had to hide that they were living together for a while. They lived together for 8 years or so (they didn't hide it the whole time). Her FIL was a minister and he was pissed they didn't ask him to marry them. So they asked him to do a reading at the very a-religious ceremony. He did the whole woman cleaving to her husband bit.
But, as obnoxious as he was, he never cut them off or threatened to cut them off in anyway. Of course, his son hadn't been financially dependent on him for a decade at least by the time he got married. FIL is still snide to my friend to this day but he accepts her as part of his family.
I know I just pop in and out of here at random occasionally, but I'm pretty sure the Polter-Parents saying they will disown him over the TIMING of the wedding means he has actually already won. Shouldn't they have disowned him over the blue-eyed devil? If they won't for that, they won't for this.
