Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

Ginger, what wonderful news...and not so wonderful news. Yay for progress and may the broken ribs be the worst of it on your road to recovery.

Happy Solstice everyone. Blessings on all your houses.

Tomorrow, it will be six months since Bartleby died. My heart still aches all the time but Cagney is doing his best.

Right this minute, he is sleeping behind my in my office chair...right where Bartleby used to be. It's good for my heart.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh good grief, Ginger--broken ribs? No wonder you were hurting. Also, you are a champion stoic--you win the stoic sweepstakes. Now surrender the crown and *complain* when there's pain. But most of all, WooHOo, good scan!!

YES THIS! So happy to hear this excellent news, Ginger!

{{{{Bonny}}}} Happy Solstice, dear one. Cagney is so lucky to have you.

Trust my rage

! Is it because he's a guy flirting with you,

I think it's mostly this. I mean, I'm not attracted to him, but since i only seem to be attracted to bad-for-me guys, that's probably not terrible. I just feel old and out of practice, I guess.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yikes on the ribs, Ginger! But yay on knowing where the pain was coming from and super yay on the scan progress!

Ginger Yay on the scan progress. Boo on the broken ribs, though I am glad you now know w here the pain was coming from. You definitely need to become a bit less stoic.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay for progress and painkillers, Ginger! Definitely complain more.

Thrive to spite them

My day is not going well. I got sick the last part of my trip. I was up most of the night coughing and unable to get comfortable until some time this morning. Then I finally got some sleep.

It's hot so I took a nap. I have a stand fan and the cover doesn't stay on really well (I knocked it down and broke the blades and after I replaced them the cover comes loose). The phone rang and I got out of bed and stumbled, either on a cat or on my own feet and reached my hand out to steady myself. Put my hand on the fan - on a blade and cut my finger.

Still half asleep grabbed the phone and tried to answer it and then dropped it and finally yelled "I'll call you back" and hung up and put pressure.

So it was Will calling to see how I was feeling.

Early this mornign I was going to go to the walk in clinic if I still felt bad, but I've barely coughed at all so I decided not to too.

My finger isn't cut bad enough to go to the doctor. It's just a slice, it's at an angle and it's not that deep.

Plus now I'm all hot and cranky and my thumb hurts.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

That's great news, Ginger!

Anne, can I ask what you got ART for?

I got it mainly for some shoulder and neck pain, but also for hip pain. Oddly enough, it also helped with plantar fasciitis, but that particular treatment hurt like hell.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Wonderful news on the scan showing progress, Ginger. And while I am sorry you are in pain, having a healing *reason* for the and good painkillers are good things. But hopefully no more broken ribs. Ouch!

Yuck, askye. Sorry.
