Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Askye, hope you get better soon.

New dream last night weird even for me:

I've written it up so far world building but no plot or characters. I guess for that I will need to do actual writing:

Here is a summary of the summary:

After the discovery that ghosts are real and can be materialized and controlled, the economy soon became based on labor from tangible ghosts. Physical and intellectual labor alike could be provided by these spirits who did not need to be paid, fed or housed, who required neither capital investment nor operating energy, who worked without sleep or rest. The dream of the rich and powerful was realized; they no longer needed 99% of the population for anything. Mundane and glamorous jobs alike were filled by the enslaved dead. The spirits of peasants from ancient Egypt to medieval France picked tomatoes and bagged groceries, while the more recently dead staffed offices and factories. Humphrey Bogart, Marlene Dietrich, and Luciano Pavarotti protested strongly, but could not resist the compulsion that forced them to replace living performers.

I may try to write this. Certainly fits the fashion for dystopias.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Visiting ND up in Pasadena. Of course, my car still has a busted A/C. It was a pleasant 74º in Long Beach. It's a balmy 93º in Pasadena. Maaaybe today wasn't the best day to wear all black.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We have survived our first party in our new home, and I think it was even a success.

askye, feel better.

I need to go upstairs and get my work computer and start figuring out where I'm going tomorrow. But I don't WANNA.

I went to Nordstrom with the roomie (after spending a bunch of money at the container store) because she recently had to get new sports bras, after hers were chafing, and I said let's get you fitted. I figured I'd get fitted as well, just for shits and giggles.

Well, roomie seemed to be wearing basically the right size...a bit bigger or smaller depending on the brand. Me? The lady claimed I was a 36D. D?!?!? I still think she's crazy. I feel like a D cup should be decent-sized boobs. Like, need support and bigger than an apple boobs. Mine are not. Also, all the D cup bras are big and ugly. WTF?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Huh. I'm actually a bit shy of a 36D these days (the cups are a little roomy) and, uh, I think I'm bigger than you. We can compare at Decadence!

Feel better, askye!

sj, y'all are way ahead of me on the party front. I haven thrown any parties at my house since I moved here, which is just sad. But hey! I got four kitchen chairs from a moving neighbor today, so I have places to sit!!

OMG so tired. smonster fall down go boom.

uh, I think I'm bigger than you. We can compare at Decadence!

Hah! I agree. And can't wait to see you, yay!

I think I see more Buffistas than most Buffistas. I like it.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

You totally probably see the most Buffistas, meara.

And if I thought about it, I wouldn't think D. Huh. Bras are weird.

I just ditched on birthday drinks. I saw awesome family all day and it was Fathers Day and now I am done. I have jammies, I showered and I have a glass of wine. I'll be lucky if I don't fall asleep in this chair. Dad looks pretty good this weekend but he's tired and weak and all of those things that come with cancer in his brain. I'm willing to take the good hours and let him rest. He's good but good is relative.

Edit: iPhones mess up my typing. As does being tired.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Glad to hear your dad is okay Cass. Sounds like a pretty good day.

Thrive to spite them

Im waiting for my flight I got here really early. I have decent layover times and I'm hoping to have enough time to get a cheesesteak in Philly airport for dimner.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Cass, I'm glad your Dad is having relative good. Relative good is still good.

I am declaring war on my hip pain and taking my recalcitrant hips (and their enabler, my lower back) to the chiropractor tomorrow. Take THAT, cranky bastard body parts!
