Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Am also down with something useful for Deena, and maybe something to brighten her day, too.

Slept a lot, as usual. I'm feeling kind of overwhelmed at the moment. I have laundry to do, work to do, budget stuff, and I'd like to go to a pumpkin carving party tonight. I haven't seen StW in a couple of weeks. I know he's super busy, but my insecurities are working overtime. I'm bracing myself for an eventual text, or maybe he'll just fade away. I don't know. I'm done asking if he wants to get together, it's on him now. Sucks. And I had a weird dream last night that involved evacuations and wedding planning and I wanted a labradorite tiara, but we had to keep the wedding planning secret from StW, because we'd been only been dating 3 months. Thanks, subconscious. I was trying not to go there.

Ooo, xposty. How about flowers nowish, and that will give us time to get money together and figure out what a good practical gift would be?

Our wings are not tired

I just keep hopeful that each time I step on a plane he might still be there when I get home.

The status is NOT quo.

Smonster, I really like that idea. I will buy some upfront from all of us--whoever collects money ultimately can just transfer a bit to contribute to them once we are good to go. I just need an address.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

{{smonster}} sorry you're feeling so overwhelmed, and lonely about StW. I'm thinking of you often, especially with Halloween coming up. I have NO PLANS for Halloween. This is a travesty! C&J are going to be in NY, and with you and T&G living out of state now, and many of the folks in The Compound otherwise occupied, and France kept me from thinking about it until just recently, I find myself at a loss. I know, I know, the mother of all first world problems, but you know how much I love Halloween. Just missing you.

{{Pix & ND}} It's so hard, losing a pet, and all the uncertainty that leads up to the end.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've got an address where I sent her something last December. (I was getting rid of a PlayStation that I never used, and she bought it as a Christmas present for her kids.) She said in an email then that they were thinking about moving, but I don't know if they did or not.

I know! I miss you, too! I have a kickass costume and I'm not sure where I'm going to wear it. I don't know who's going to Frenchmen, and I'm not going by myself. Making new traditions is hard.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Pix, as soon as I have a response with an address, I'll forward it to you. As far as flowers go, I would maybe stay away from very strongly smelling ones, since I know she has some allergies, but I am not sure what specifically bothers her other than lavender.

I can do the paypal collecting for whatever we decide to do later at my profile addy.

Compassionately intolerant

Tropical flowers like orchids and antherium do not smell and last for a very long time.

Might I suggest a blooming orchid? They are very popular (therefore available) a the moment, plus the added bonus of not dying in a matter of days, and not needing much care.

That's a great idea, Bonny.
