Bev! That teapot is gorgeous. Wow.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Ow. Tried to play through the pain during shin splints while power walking tonight. Mistake. Hurty OUCH
Oh, Vortex. Shin splints and facsitis both just usually respond best to babying. No powering through!
Thanks, smonster. The minute it's clean enough I don't feel I'm risking a horrible poisoning death I'll have tea! (Kidding. As if I'm lacking in teapots. Or teabags, for that matter)

Ice and NSAIDS, Vortex! Don't walk through shinsplint pain, you can get hairline fractures in your tibia! Also, if you don't let them heal they come right back (I know, they've been bugging me since the beginning of the year)
That's a gorgeous teapot, Beverly!
Also, what meara said about shin splints.
In other news, renovation on the house started this week, and I am agog at how much dust there is. I think there is enough dust to compress into bricks and build another house.

Grr! I'm trying to keep my momentum. Although I originally started using the elliptical to avoid shin splints.
Stationary bike for a while? Recumbent bike would (play hob with my back, YBackMV) be even less weight on the shins. Would a mini-tramp work help keep your momentum? Because it does a lot to lessen impact.
Anne, you might consider decamping. On top of construction noise and upset, the dust might be a dealbreaker.
Shit, sorry! Thanks, smonster.
smonster, holy crap!!!! Blood poisoning! I hope everything turns out all right. Please keep us posted!
Thanks, Nora, for taking smonster to the ER.
migraine ~ma to Teppy, and all kinds of ~ma to Strix, and I hope you get some rest, Pix, and hugs all around.
That's a gorgeous teapot, Beverly!
Basically, what everyone else said.
Hey, remember the 'friend' who told me that I betrayed her, she could never forgive me and didn't ever want to speak to me again?
She called this evening to say that she never said any of that. She reiterated pretty much everything she said originally and gave me the opportunity to apologize. In fact, she is surprised that I have not said I was sorry, but that it's not like we can't be friends.
I quashed the very strong impulse to ask her if she was still in middle school and simply said that I could not apologize for doing a kindness for someone who had been kind to me.
The most startling part of the whole exchange was realizing that she could not _hear_ herself being incredibly selfish as she was chastising me for not taking her feelings into account around something that had nothing to do with her.
Eh. Now I just want to trade keys and get my stuff out of her attic.
Insent, Strix.
Wicked fans, is the last book Out of Oz better than A Lion Among Men? I liked ALAM, but am wondering if I want to slog through OoO. The audiobook is 29 hours!
