Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

smonster, glad you were to the ER and glad Nora was there for you. Blood poisoning, holy shit, not good. Also glad you got a doctor who knows her stuff!

Steph, I'm sorry you have a migraine and sorry you have to work anyway!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Me news: I found a gorgeous vintage pot in wonderful shape, and now I'm wondering, does anybody know a good method for removing years of accrued tea stain from silverplate?

I've used a paste made from baking soda and water to clean silver plate, and it worked pretty well.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ginger, what would you think about a vinegar and soda cocktail, to fizz off the, um, rind, of old tea? Would vinegar react badly with the silver?

Hil, I'd be afraid the soda and water paste alone would be too abrasive. I don't know how deep the plating actually is. Which, you know, is why I thought of the vinegar and soda fizz.

Or, I could try the polident trick Ginger suggested.

Thanks, guys!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

She is adorbs. Tiny and curly haired, and had a gentle giant of a 3rd yr med student with her, and as soon as she heard what they prescribed she grimaced, rolled her eyes, and asked him, "Now why is that not a good choice for this?"

smonster, do you have Dr. Velu? Because you just totally described her- that's Tom's and my doctor (yes, we have the same doctor. Tom liked her, and I am lazy.)

omnis, thanks for the meeting cancel~ma! It did, and I'm at home on the couch, soon to be in bed.

gotcha, Tep. insent!

I have nothing yet, but I'll keep an eye out.

I'm hoping to wrap this shit up and get out of work in half an hour. (Except we're supposed to have a Graeter's party to say farewell to our intern in about 5 minutes; while I ordinarily am all over company-purchased Graeter's, I just want to get this done and go home, so I can take more painkillers and cry. An ice cream party is just going to slow my roll. OTOH, all I've eaten today is one GF bagel with nothing on it, so maybe I need some food.)
