Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yikes. smonster, I'm so glad you went to the ER and have meds. I hope the blood poisoning clears up quickly.
Laura, good luck getting the database working again.
So much gronk. I didn't sleep for much of last night because my back and my legs were freaking out. We're leaving tomorrow for our friend K's wedding at the Cape. She's the friend that introduced TCG and I to each other, and we're so happy for her. I have packing and errands to do today, and I'm a little worried about leaving the new house for the weekend.
Blood poisoning? How in blue bloody blazes did you manage to get that? Also, I am very glad you got treatment as soon as you did, smonster.
Nora, thank you for being there for smonster when the rest of us could not be.
Pix, hope you finally got some sleep last night.
smonster, I am so glad you went to the ER. Now, feel better soon!
{{Nora}} You are lovely.
I am weary. Yesterday was our 8th grade field trip to six flags. I had a great time, but it's an exhausting day. Today, is 8th grade graduation which I'm not going to, thank heavens. I still have 7th graders to teach but it's going to be a weird morning. After the 8th grade leaves for grad practice, it will settle down a bit. This last week of school is odd and the kids just get squirrelier as we get closer to summer break. I think we're all ready for it. Only 1 more week.
blood poisoning?!
but not life-threatening?!
do not understand. do not like.
Yeah, don't quite get it myself. Not *immediately* life-threatening. ER's job is to figure out if you are in grave danger of dropping dead: if yes, triage and then admit; if no, go home; if don't know, call for consult and possibly then admit.
You can get it from a cut or whatever - I get lots of scrapes and cuts and splinters at work, have no idea what originated this issue.
So freaking tired. Need to go pick up meds and be awake to call doc as soon as they open. They're only open for two hrs today, and not at all tomorrow, so I may need to see a different doc. Mega-gronk.
Blood poisoning? Yikes! But not life-threatening is good.
Migraine will not leave. I have to get to work today because while I'm out next week the journal has to go to the printer. I'm normally the person who gets the files ready (which is a time-consuming, pain-in-the-ass process), so I need to sit down with Chatty and go over everything involved in that process, because he's going to have to do it. If I didn't need to do that, I swear I wouldn't go in today. I cannot believe how bad this hurts.
a doctor's office that is open for 2 hours?
Seriously. Is this the 1400s or something?
Close. New Orleans. I think she may have another office location? Or maybe works at the hospital some. Or maybe she only works 3.5 days a week, who knows.
Steph, I wish you felt better! I hate that you are in so much pain and have all this stress right before vacation.
I *so* wish I didn't have meetings first and last things today.
IOW, gronk!
PS: Thanks, kitties, for being so excited to see me that you galloped loudly around crashing into shit. I totes didn't need that extra half hour of sleep or anything.
Good luck getting in to see someone ASAP, smonster.
Steph, I wish you felt better! I hate that you are in so much pain and have all this stress right before vacation.
Yes, this!
Nora, thank you so so so much for taking me and staying with me. I'm sorry you have to work today!
Can I get a ruling from the jury? Do I call my folks and tell them about this today, or wait until they call me? They are leaving for a weekend at the beach today. They will worry and worry if I tell them, but will likely get mad that I didn't tell them sooner.
