Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For the first thirty almost forty years of my life I refused to wear a hat, because obvious oppression. But when you go to the Queen's garden party, hats and gloves are mandatory.

Jilli should probably look away now, because I took a perfectly explicit dress code and decided that a hat without a crown and fingerless lace gloves were as far as I was going to knuckle under to The Man.

It was a wide-brimmed black straw hat with my hair peeking out, with a black and white leopard print scarf tied around it, a white pleated cotton sleeveless shift with matching blazer, and the crappiest looking fingerless lace gloves the 80s could provide.

It was not good.

Oddly, I can't remember what shoes I wore.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'd forgotten how much I love vicarious eBay shopping.

Because books.

I love hats. I have a lot of hats, actually, although they're mostly men's style. I always forget to wear them, though.

Wanna do some vicarious non-eBay shopping for me? (I hate eBay). I want some clothes that are kinda kickass and cool in the way that a motorcycle jacket, hot jeans, and boots would be. Only able to be worn in summer or in a club. Mostly I want some edgy tops to add to my boring t-shirts in basic colors collection, but shoes or pants/skirts would be contemplated too. I have no idea where to even shop for such things.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

As long as the shoppers are shopping, if y'all run across some pullover summer-weight tops with 3/4 length sleeves, you could throw them at me.

Seems like everything is cap-sleeves and really short sleeves and those stupid flutter sleeves. Or sleeveless. I can't stand my upper arms and need to cover them.

Also, FTR, weight loss now totals 13 pounds since mid-March. Going much more slowly than I wanted it to.

information libertarian

I need summer-weight dress pants to wear to a job interview in early June. Bonus points if they go with a navy pinstriped or black blazer. I may also need a blouse. And shoes. Pants need a 33-34 inch inseam and the shoes should be flat.

Picking up Matilda from her last day of kindergarten ever (I felt like the stoniest-hearted bastard mommy ever this morning for being one of the only parents who wasn't misting up), but then by God I will vicariously shop the shit out of everything! eBaylessly for meara.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Pertussis vaccinations in my area are 53-70 dollars. This is in Washington State which has had a spike in whooping cough. There are no low cost clinics available as far as I can tell. I'll grumble and pay, even though stuff is tight enough that that kind of money hurts right now. But what about people who flat out can't pay that? Do our freakin public officials *want* a whooping cough epidemic?

Because books.

For kids, it should be free at the county health department. They were here, anyway.

Flea, gap has pants on sale for $37 (possibly less with one of their ubiquitous coupon codes) where long is a 35" inseam, and the "tall" pants have extra long which is 37"
