I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Why, God, why?

To raise my blood pressure? (That's all I got.)

Over in the Librarians group on Library Thing, there's a thread about the demand for 50 Shades.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Cass, I am so sorry--about all of it. It sucks and and I wish you didn't have to go through it.

If you want to talk, let me know. Much peace and strength to you.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm so sorry, Cass. I hate the thought of you sliding down the wall to cry without someone there to put their arms around you. Mine are reaching; they're just painfully too short to cross a state line.

A lot of arms are reaching. I know.

A friend (actually an ex) came over and we took a little walk, talked a little and I fell asleep leaning on her for a bit.

It just all sucks.

Dad is doing radiation first and maybe chemo later. I suspect he's not strong enough for chemo and we just deal with any dementia from radiation. I asked him to get a cool new superpower.

Kittenish will be cremated and returned to me. She belongs with me.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well, I know this is not the easier part yet, but at least for both things you have and know the plan.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Cass, are they using the gamma knife or a similar technique? We went through that one and it was both effective and generally free of side effects.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

OK, I got a question for the group. Avengers, 2d or 3d? I'm not a huge fan of the 3d movies. Is it worth the price? Or is it just a couple thor hammers thrown at the screen?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I smell an Avengers sequel.

Avengers, 2d or 3d?

I am an advocate of 2d. Last time this question was asked (perhaps by Laura?) many said 3d. I have seen it twice in 2d and no regrets.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Avengers, 2d or 3d?

I thought the 3d was reasonably deftly handled, and there was very little in-your-face gimmickry. (I think they had an arrow flying out of the screen once.) But it was hardly necessary. If you prefer 2d, you're not going to suffer for it.

In other news, Ryan felt sick again tonight. Did better during the day. He had some medicine - again with water, he's very proud to have mastered that trick - and refused dinner. However, no glubby glubby tonight, so things are improving.
