I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And, hello - Christmas holidays? I'm pretty sure a lot of the court people take off for Christmas, New Year, etc. If I remember correctly, they don't schedule jury duty over the holidays.

Yeah, I know. It's a mid-sized town, they have a suspect (the father - he didn't do it) but no hard evidence. Actually, the ADA did it.

So is he just posturing and spewing nonsense? Because it didn't think all the things you mentioned were legally or logistically feasible.

Art Crawl!!!

But the ADA would know about court holidays and gathering evidence before scheduling a grand jury hearing.

Or he's doing a "rush to judgement" in the hopes that someone else will be convicted of his crime.

Speaking of which, I saw a book on "criminal crafts" - cute little crime-related crafty things. Not as weird as crafting with cat hair, but, um, different.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Vortex! I am so sorry I missed your birthday - Happy belated birthday to you! If anyone deserves a multi-day festival, it's you.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It's probably unlikely, but as I understand it, it's not impossible. Usually, there is a grand jury that has been selected and serves for something like a month. They don't convene every day, though. In smaller jurisdictions, they may meet something like every Monday and then as needed.

Cool, guys. That really helps.

I need to get me a nice police contact for MS fact-checking.

Not Nora, Vortex postng on Nora's phone while drinking beer and grooving to "Brick House". Ginger is right. The lawyer may be rushing fir the three days because s/he wants to get before the grand jury before the session is over.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Erin, there's an LJ community (littledetails or something like) that I know some fanfic authors use. Would it be cheating to mine it for professional gigs?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Argh, I have kvetching to do! The SO's travel was severely hampered by the wind and sand. He's safely in a hotel for the evening. But found out the graduation isn't until 6:30 tomorrow. Why there was confusion is baffling to me. But it means he could have stayed home with me for this graduation tonight and we both could have gone tomorrow. Now instead he'll have to stay two nights. I could do this grad tonight and join him, but I kept the dog instead of kenneling him.

Aaand now I've got a nosebleed, so me going to this graduation is in question, as it involves a 2000ft change in elevation each way. Which would mean I stayed and we are separated for nothing.

I know it's only a few nights, but with the six week tour coming up, I am a little grabby hands of time together right now.
